Washington Governor Jay Inslee faulted President Trump for failing to urge Americans to wear masks amid a surge in coronavirus infections in more than two dozen states, likening Mr. Trump's resistance to masks to Alabama governor and segregationist George Wallace's opposition to integration.
"Right now, we are in an urgent national mission, or should be, to mask up," Inslee, a Democrat, said on "Face the Nation." "And the fact is that Donald Trump is for masking up like George Wallace was for integration."
Inslee said universal masking is crucial to reopening states' economies, and added that "all of us should be on that bandwagon right now."

Masks protect others from you. Your mask protects others.
EVERY country that wears masks mostly consistently has reduced their spread by 90+%. (Eg Hong Kong, which is one of the most densely populated countries on earth..total deaths to date: SEVEN vs our 200k+).
But, hey, let’s keep whining about masks and let our economy crash to Great Depression 2.0 levels, because “no-one can TELL ME what to do”.
Just don’t check your 401k balance. That might be..depressing. But, at lest no-one will “tell you what to do” - so there’s that at least.

We have been wearing masks for quite a while now, yet we have supposed big spikes going on. Maybe the masks make it worse. I, for one, am constantly touching and adjusting my mask, whereas before, I kept my hands off of my face.
I have almost 0 contact with people since so many are liberal Trump haters.
A couple people a couple hundred miles away and a few relatives are about it.

We could all mask up but it’s clear nothing will ever be good enough for Wu Flu addicts like you. We nuked the economy to mollify tantruming Chicom flu hobbyists and still you moan on about masks. Incredible.
And we wore no masks when this all kicked off. And why was that? Because they were all made in china and unavailable, of course! Now near six much later we must all mask up or the world is going to end? Nonsense.
When this started our hospitals did not even have close to enough PPE. I heard one story from a tech who bear hugged Covid patients without any more protection than a surgical mask to position them for procedures. Surprisingly, they didn’t get contract Covid from such close contact. Obviously, this thing is not as contagious as the Chicom flu terrorists would have us believe.

I am, however, a conservative Republican that wants to be DONE. WITH. THIS. SHI!. - forever. I’m freaking sick, for example, of watching my investment portfolio with huge weekly losses because my fellow conservatives are more interested in having a freaking PISSING MATCH about masks than simply doing the ONE. THING. that can help us get through this and be done with it.

The facts are totally irrefutable - EVERY country that wears masks 80-99% has the virus beat.

Masks WORK to reduce spread. Hong Kong (literally on the doorstep of China with tons of Chinese tourists) and super heavy density of people, lots of mass transit, etc has SEVEN deaths to date.
We (US) have 200K+ deaths to date - and are a LOT less densely populated than Hong Kong.
HK wears masks everywhere they go. We whine and fight about masks.
The net is obvious to even the most rabid partisan. My mask protects YOU. Your mask protects ME. But, let’s just keep whining about masks until our economy crashes to Great Depression 2.0 levels. Just don’t check your 401K balance. Yeah, that might be...bad.
