The federal judge who has continued the prosecution of Michael Flynn despite the Justice Department's motion to drop the case has halted scheduled hearings.
The Washington Examiner reports Judge Emmet Sullivan issued an order late Wednesday after an appeals court sided with the DOJ's request.
Flynn, a retired lieutenant general, briefly served as President Trump's national security adviser.
He withdrew his plea of guilty to the charge of lying to FBI agents in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia collusion investigation, claiming he was the victim of a "perjury trap."
Evidence recently unsealed in the case confirmed his claim, showing FBI agents -- after the bureau was prepared to close the investigation for lack of evidence -- discussing how to get him to lie.
The Justice Department moved to drop the charges, but Sullivan refused to sign off on the motion. Instead, he appointed a retired judge to argue against the DOJ.
Now he's pressed pause on the case.

I suspect this isn’t the end of it. This “judge” is a snake if I ever saw one.

"In light of the Opinion and Order issued by the Court of Appeals on Mr. Flynn's petition for writ of mandamus, the deadlines and hearing date set forth in the Minute Order of May 19, 2020 are HEREBY STAYED," the order by Sullivan said. It came late Wednesday.

dont remember the details,...I think it involved Cummings.
Blackmail is the only thing that makes sense
there is at least one person here who knows him in a legal sense and said something like he was an upstanding person..that was before all of this went down
With the dissenting opinion as his basis, Judge Sullivan will likely seek an en banc consideration in the Court of Appeals.

Ok, he’s pressed pause, but what does this mean? Does it mean that the case remains in eternal limbo?

One of the appeals judges was an Obama appointee. The objective all along has been to force Trump to pardon Flynn so they Left can continue its narrative about Trump’s “corruption.”
I read that Judge Sullivan cannot request an en banc consideration of the Appeals Court Order. Any en banc request must be initiated by either the Prosecution or the Defense which in this case are siding with the Opinion . On the other hand, I am told that the DC Circuit Court itself can initiate an en banc hearing by a majority vote of the judges on the Court and they have 21 days from the Court order to do that which would take them until July 15th. If I am wrong on this, I would like to hear from some Legal Person who can correct me.
