A group that has camped outside the Durham, NC Police Department for more than a week has now blocked the street outside the building.
On Thursday, a protester told WRAL News the group used wooden pallets to block the headquarters building at 602 E. Main St. in downtown Durham around 3 a.m.
The Durham Police Department said they will monitor traffic in the area for the protesters' safety, and state transportation workers were at the scene expanding the road closures to manage traffic.

Other than the fine money they get from the trumped up tickets they write, the police do not give a damn about the safety of the motorists. They do not give a shit if you and your wife and children are stopped by the Anarchists and dragged and pulled out of the vehicle and beaten half to death. Or your wife is driving by and they throw a brick through her windshield. The Police don’t give a damn about that. I suspect you do not understand the process. You expect the rule of law, or fairness, or, at least, reciprocity.

That is the problem in a nutshell.
I am sure there are plenty of contractors in the area that would gladly send a front end loader and a dump truck or two and haul off the ‘barricades’ while the police are doing THE JOB of clearing the streets for the safety of the LAW ABIDING PUBLIC..which the TAXPAYERS money is paying for.
How these mayors/governors say there is no justification (specific laws) in removing the ‘wilders’ they have no problem ILLEGALLY ordering the wearing of masks etc.
Then, when they realize there is no legality in what they are doing, they ‘bribe’ shop owners etal with health department or other such foolishness.
Apparently not a one of these idiots realizes that since they allow the ‘protests’ - no matter how ‘mostly peaceful’ to go on while restricting TAX PAYING LAW ABIDING CITIZENS movements etc.
Saddest part is that instead of massive recalls etc the fools will probably be reelected

I read that yesterday morning around 8:30 or so, 5 cars blocked each lane and shoulder of I-40 W around Raleigh by driving side by side at 10 mph....
Had traffic of people going to work backed for a couple miles or so...

I wouldn’t be so sure. North Carolina is pockmarked with blue cities like Durham, Chapel Hill, Asheville, and Charlotte.
Here in SC we refer to NC as “Northern Commieland”. Sure, there are regions in western NC that are dangerous to outsiders off the beaten track, but they’re not in charge.
If the police don’t take decisive action then they are aiding and abetting criminal activity. However, I suspect a heavily Democratic local government has tied their arms.

Unbelievable. What gives these jerks the right to block roads and keep citizens from going about their business? Apparently there is no authority left in the US willing to defend the rights of the average citizen.
