Former FBI director James Comey told President Obama that the 2016 conversations between Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak and incoming national-security adviser Michael Flynn were not criminal in nature, according to notes from former agent Peter Strzok released by Flynns legal team.
The page of notes was taken by Strzok appears to describe a January 5, 2017 meeting of President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and national security officials. This meeting occurred amid accusations that incoming Trump administration officials had colluded with Russian operatives. Strzok was not present at the meeting, and it is unclear what record of the meeting he consulted in taking the notes.
Strzok writes that P, presumably President Obama, asked, Is there anything I shouldnt be telling transition team?
Strzok records that D, or Director Comey, responded Kislyak calls but appear legit.
ALSO JUST IN: Flynn legal team files a page of Strzok's notes, which appear to describe the Jan. 5 meetign with Obama and natsec team

In transcripts of conversations between Flynn and Kislyak released on May 29 of this year, Flynn is recorded asking the Russian ambassador not to escalate tensions in response to U.S. sanctions. Those sanctions were implemented by the Obama administration following reports that Russia attempted to interfere in the U.S. general election.
Strzoks notes also indicate that VP Biden mentioned the Logan Act during the meeting, although the context of Bidens remark is unclear. The Logan Act of 1799 forbids U.S. citizens from intervening in disputes with foreign nations without authorization. The law has been cited only twice in U.S. history in two cases in the 1800s and no one has ever been found guilty of violating the statute.

Yet our FBI director Wray is still there, FBI’ing!
During the meeting, Flynn's name came up but we don't know who brought it ip. What we do know is that according to Comey's memo of the meeting, he had a "gotcha" saying the President ORDERED HIM to drop the Flynn matter.
So I'm guessing that was the plan...to entrap the President.
Dude, take the L. The ratio here is disturbing.
You know, if Drudge was honest, this would be a banner headline with a flashing light, and would start some momentum on it.
With NO coverage by the MSM this will be buried.
Of course they were. They were involved in Flynn's foreign agent filing. They were willing to sacrifice their own client to avoid having their malpractice disclosed.
THAT TEARS IT. Pence believed the FBI after Russiagate and the campaign, and no Russiagate did not start on inauguration day.
Another RINO deepstate hack. What about faithful defense of those on your own side. And Pence, be a man and apoligize publicly to Flynn. I won't forgive you for your fecklessness, but honor and manliness require no less.
There is no repairing the damage this move made to this nation and your administration.
Looks to me that the notes prove a conspiracy to violate the civil rights of General Flynn, if not Trump.
“And my guess is that Flynn swamp creature lawyers were in on it, too.”
Umm, that was established by the DOJ and documents months ago. No guessing needed.
That said, there is a swarm of lawsuits and depositions on the way. Flynn and his attorney ought to be able to retire when they are done with the myriad participants involved in this setup and attempted coup.
There should be people dangling from lamp-posts when the legal and justice system is done with these people.
unfortunately, when youre out of money, you're out of options.
Even when youre not guilty.
Obama is in this travesty up to his neck!
1. Discussing classified matters with a foreign government on his personal cell phone while vacationing in a Third World dump.
2. Conspiring with a foreign government (Russia) to undermine the U.S. on a United Nations Security Council vote.
Im shocked Biden could even help with the plotting he doesn’t even know how to wipe his own a@@
“Pleading guilty when you know youre not guilty seems like a very bad idea.”

Such display of cleared headed rationale is mind boggling. Too bad the stupid General couldn’t see that./s
The Logan Act of 1799 forbids U.S. citizens from intervening in disputes with foreign nations without authorization.
Doesn’t seem to have been invoked during WWI or the Spanish
Civil war.
See post nineteen. Why Flynn used Covington and Burling law firm — notoriously Democrat — is beyond me.
THAT TEARS IT. Pence believed the FBI after Russiagate and the campaign, and no Russiagate did not start on inauguration day.
This is something that has amazed me about Trump as well. Many, many of his terrible choices in staff and in cabinet positions flow from this as well. Neither he nor Pence understood the level of deceit, unquenchable hatred, perversity, lawlessness and demonic frenzy of his political enemies (which was almost literally everyone in the bureaucracy and in elected position in Washington). He seemed to think it was all just politics and he seemed to think they were just regular political actors who would give him an honest take. How could he possibly think that? Everyone on this site knew differently from the very start. We knew what kind of Satanic tyrants they were...how on Earth could they not see this?
This went on at some level right into the Chinese virus scam. He took the advice of Fauci and that scarf woman...right out of the bureaucracy! After everything, they still turned to them to set the action in motion! What does it take to get someone to realize that entire federal government is a corrupt, totalitarian enemy of the people? Have the Leftist riots looking to eliminate the last scattered elements of a true American government of the people clued them in?
This just blows me away. How could they not know the Leftist evil that inhabits this government at all levels...this long into it?
1. If Flynn pleaded guilty to protect his son, then isnt he now exposing his son to prosecution by reneging on his plea deal?
2. If he pleaded guilty for financial reasons, then why has he spent two and a half years engaged in all these lengthy (and costly) legal proceedings?
Yes he definitely should apologize and apologise now
I havent seen a complete story, but I hope someday, we will. Imagine if Flynn had simply told Mueller and his corrupt team to F.O.?
Mueller first used Flynn's limited consulting work on behalf of Turkey to pressure him - claiming Flynn didnt register as as working for a foreign government, even though it wasnt clear Flynn even needed to - and many DC swamp rats didnt either. After caving once, they then slowly turned the screws on Flynn, upping the ante and seriousness a little bit each time. His law firm was also pathetic and did little to help Flynn as he got sucked down.
