The owner of a small cupcake business in Cleveland that was destroyed and looted last month as riots broke out following the death of George Floyd says shes being threatened with future harm and destruction for cooperating with police.
In an interview with Fox & Friends Monday, Kelly Kandah, owner of Colossal Cupcakes, a family business, said the threats include people telling her that if she rebuilds, its going to get hit again.

She may not like it, but Corbo’s bakery in the same area was untouched that same day. The owners of the store were in the doorway with shotguns. If she wants to protect herself, her employees, and her customers, she can’t count on the City of Cleveland.

She also has a place at Crocker Park and is opening in Great Northern next week. Reviews of her cupcakes aren’t very good, but that seems to be a better place for her than either on Euclid or the E.8th Downtown location she is planning to add.

I have posted elswhere on FR about this; I was an underage kid at the time, but the call from a family friend was for all males who could safely hold and use a rifle. I went. Didn’t do a whole lot because the kids like me were mostly used to support and provide watch relief for the adults, but at a number of points it was all hands to the walls, weapons ready.
I was further east in K-town, between Wilton and Hoover. I won’t be more specific because CA is *still* trying to prosecute some people who dared defend themselves. They stopped in the 2000s, but I have received word that they have reopened many investigations - because they simply cannot abide the example of people defending themselves, which could be used to upset their carefully supported current riots.
