NEW ORLEANS, La. (WVUE) At least 30 Louisiana State University players are quarantining after testing positive for COVID-19 or having contact with those who tested positive, according to a report by Sports Illustrated.
The team has 115 players in total.
No LSU athlete or staff member has been hospitalized.
Very few players have experienced effects beyond mild symptoms, according to Ross Dellenger with Sports Illustrated.
And, what do you bet they all gave mom and dad a big hug and a kiss this weekend?
What I need to do is spell check lol
Sorry about that.
Wouldnt it be great if it went back to football being a sport for healthy young men whose original purpose is getting a great education? They would still have enthusiastic crowds, it would be as much fun to watch.

And NOT one of those players infected will DIE!
I've asked no less than 30 people I've crossed paths with.. "Do you know anyone who has contracted the virus?.. Answer was NO!
"Do you know anyone who DIED from it?... Answer Oh, heck NO!
My point: The way the MSM always presents the virus you would expect to see people dropping to the street, or to the floor in Walmart or Macy's from this killer virus.
I read this morning that somewhere between 25 & 30% of corona deaths have been in nursing homes involving elderly residents with underlying conditions.
Another 40 to 45% simply had underlying health conditions such as COPD, Asthma, bronchitis, Diabetes, etc
Those with a 2nd rate or weakened IMMUNE SYSTEM were prime targets of the virus. Most healthy people ward it off much like a case of the flu.
I’ll bet that ALL are asymptomatic. Herd immunity is a GOOD thing.
I know people who died from it, in my nursing home. But, I was opposed to closing schools, and remain so. Young people developing herd immunity could have been a great buffer.
“I wonder how many of these players were marching in the streets last week? “
Yes. That would be the relevant question. Actually they might not have marched and just be friends with people that did. It is highly contagious so that will spread it as well.
If they just left them play for another day or two, the entire team could be infected, get better, and not have to worry about this any more.
That must have been one wild party
Like chicken pox parties in the 1960’s?
People were doing that early in COVID, so the powers responded with 3 fake news items; first, the idea that you couldn’t get immunity; second, that the disease was highly contageous so if you got it you’d spread it to all of your friends and family, and third that it was highly deadly, so 3% of your party would die.
Now, we get stories every day of entire prison populations getting hit with positive cases, and only a few deaths, or “16 girls go to bar, test positive, all are mildly symptomatic”.
Another misleading headline
By design.
Little bit of a misleading headline. The ‘or had contact with’ is kind of important.
They are kids so like DUH dude.
