Resist or Submit
Straight Line Logic ^ | 6/20/2020 | Robert Gore

During the coronavirus hoax and the George Floyd riots, most people kept their comments and criticisms to private conversations and internet postings. They didn’t respond to forced lockdowns or violence in the streets with violence of their own, although many of them have the ability and capacity to do so. Their restraint has been the primary force keeping whatever remains of the peace in this country.

The restraint stems from respect for that peace, their stake in maintaining it, and a fading hope that things will eventually get back to normal. People who run businesses, have jobs, own property, and are engaged in honest production have a vested interest in civil order. Only reluctantly will they overtly oppose unjust and idiotic government measures or rampaging rioters. Keeping their cold rage on ice, the vast majority will be moved to action only when they feel they have no other choice.

That day is coming. Consider the philosophical obscenity of governments renouncing their only justified reasons for existence—protecting individual rights, particularly the foundational rights of security for people and property. The Minneapolis city council voted to disband its police force and other jurisdictions are considering defunding theirs. Minneapolis and Seattle abandoned police stations to mobs. No word yet if criminals are going to swear off crime and embark on productive pursuits, or where they’ll find such pursuits with 30 plus million unemployed. The only certainly is that official appeasement will elicit nothing but what appeasement always elicits—contempt.

Conservative vs liberal would be good enough split.

I think maybe down the middle, or at least around the Rockies, then choose which side is which.

Since we conservative love our history, I propose we keep the East which has more of the historic American stuff. The libs can have the west which won’t have as many statues and historic sites from the Founding and Federalist periods to tear down, plus they can feel more kin to their Mexican illegal soul-mates in the desert.

Insolvency will be anti-government revolutionaries’ staunchest ally, not requiring them to lift a finger but merely watch as governments spend and borrow themselves into ruin.

This struck in an odd sort of way. As conservatives we are for less government. We've been saying for years the governments from the city level all the way to the federal level need to be downsized, reduce taxes etc. Wouldn't it be something that we end up with our wish. How do we profit from their chaos? We know and understand the rulebook they are following...is there a way we can exploit that strategy?

It is reassuring to know that there are millions of us. People reveal themselves to me all the time, even in the bluest of blues where I live.

I recently was asked for advice on which gun to buy from someone I never would have expected to be a patriot.

It may well fall to us. I am ready and I will answer.

“As corny as it comes out, there are people and philosophies I am willing to die for. If it becomes my turn then so be it. They may win in the end but it won’t be because we didn’t fight.”

I hear you. Just remember: If you kill only two of the bad guys, they can never get even. Everything past those two is lagniappe.

“Those scheming for control of CHOP, a city, a state, the United States, or the entire world are overjoyed that millions submit to Covid-19 tyranny and that government officials, corporate executives, celebrities, and other “important” people genuflect to orchestrated violence. Does anyone think all this taking of knees would have happened if there had been peaceful protests but no riots? The lesson our would-be rulers, or more correctly, our would-be dictators, will take from this: fear works on both the masses and the elite.”

And, THAT was the sole purpose of the entire scamdemic. Fauci should be fired immediately, from ALL of the positions he holds.

"I’m in my mid-50s. I have nieces and nephews, as well as children of friends that are important to me, and deserve the same freedom and liberty we have been blessed with."

My parents came to America to start over after their beloved nation fell to a communist coup. We have beloved sons for whom we wish a life of liberty. I pray that we can avoid the horrors and grinding demoralization of what so many ill-educated and weak people would wish to bring down upon us.

We are not much resistance. I don’t think the looters and rioters and burners are terrified by our posts :-)

There’s a few hundred real resistors across the country. They are protecting some towns and statues.

I think not many of our neighbors are affected and that’s why we are not out there.

Hopefully it won’t come to that

That’s the point, though. The first war for our liberty was fought by roughly 6% of the population at the time (incorrectly identified as the 3%).

Mel Gibson as The Patriot illustrates that most early Americans were pro-British or agnostic. His character was “nominally Pro-British,” until his family was personally affected, and he fought.

American history is replete with examples of how we mind our own business until we have to MAKE it our business.

I would stand beside my neighbors in a heartbeat if their livelihoods or property were at risk, and I know many of them would do the same for me. That is the essence and responsibility of liberty.

I would prefer to sit here and work quietly or go outside and play with my dogs, but I will still accept the burden of doing what needs to be done should it fall on me.

The other side thinks we’re just blustering. We will talk until we don’t. Then they’re going to fear our silence.

I am proud to say that many of my FRiends here, my true brothers and sisters, would do the same. We owe a tremendous debt to those who made this all possible, and I know we would accept the call to arms to collect on it.

I've spoke with people who believe if the Dims ever get back the WH, they will release the voting records to the leftists and those who did not vote lib will be targeted.

If so, I'm prepared.
