President Trump urged Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., to run against the states longtime Sen. Chuck Schumer in the 2022 primary in November, saying that she would be a big improvement and that she would likely win.
Schumer, the Senate minority leader, has been a vocal critic of the president, but so has Ocasio-Cortez, who faces her own primary challenger this year for her House seat. Critics of the president say Trump's call on Ocasio-Cortez to run is simply an attempt to divide the party.
Trump retweeted a report from the Washington Times that said liberals are kicking around the idea of the Squad leader taking on Schumer, who represents to them the old establishment.

First, Schumer has not said that he’s running yet in 2022. He’ll turn 70 in November.
Second, I think Cuomo (currently as governor) is probably the more likely person to seek the office, if Schumer doesn’t run.
Third, maybe within her district....AOC has popularity, but I don’t get that impression throughout the rest of NY (particularly with upstate residents).
Haha. Trolling level: Ninja Master.
she has popularity outside her district and could beat schumer especially among peeps that elected that dirtbag over and over.
First, Schumer has not said that hes running yet in 2022. Hell turn 70 in November.
...
That’s young for our corrupt senators. They seem to think the job is for life.
Hopefully she’ll lose Tuesday night.
Not likely. Besides, I think having her crazy ass on tv is good for our side.
I think Schumer is going to throw in the towel. There’s no replacement available. In the House...I think Pelosi is going to get shoved out, too.
I think it will depend on if Trump is reelected, if he is both Nazi Pelosi and Upchuck schumer will haul @$$.
Shoved out? Cashed out.
Despicable, thieving whores, the lot of them.
Likely hinging on the November 2020 Senate results.
