Why would CNN even bother going live on Saturday night for Donald Trumps rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma? The network didn't plan to show the event. Instead, reporters spent two hours gloating over a lower crowd size and questioning Trumps fitness to serve. After warning for a week about the health risk of attending the rally, Blitzer opened the show at 8 PM this way: But in a surprising development, turnout for the event has been smaller than expected. The campaign is blaming protesters. The campaign is blaming the news media for the crowd size. Clearly, not a full house.
Reporter Ryan Nobles declared victory even before the speech had begun: Wolf, the Trump campaign was hoping that they were going to be able to demonstrate an enormous amount of enthusiasm behind the campaign and also make the point and the economy were ready to reopen. And at least by their own standards, fell short of those goals.
They certainly did, cheered Blitzer.

He had thousands in attendance and millions watched as he made fools of the media and exposed the left for the evil anti-Americans they are. More people watched Trump last night than watch CNN in a week.
“Werent they doing social distancing in the arena and isnt that why it wasnt quite full?”
no.
“Its all kind of obvious why there are so many empty seats.”
which is?
I watched the rally live on Fox News last night. My guess is that the arena was about 2/3 full (some empty seats in the upper tier, but that’s it.) That would mean about 12,000 - 13,000 were in attendance, far more than Joe Biden could ever hope to draw. If President Trump is experiencing any health issues, it certainly wasn’t evident last night. As he always does, he spoke for two full hours, with the usual high level of energy and enthusiasm from start to finish. Contrast that with the 18 minute speech Joe Biden gave a few days ago in Darby, Pennsylvania. He barely spoke loud enough for whoever was there to hear him, and was clearly fatigued by the end (of an 18 minute speech.)
Amazing! I watched Pres. Trump act out, hillariously, how CNN and other Fake News outfits report lies and false claims about him; and hours later I see the real life actions of them DOING it like he portrayed it from the podium. Does he have them down pat, or what.
They spent more time carping over him having 2 scoops of ice cream and everyone else at the table had one....
I watched and DVR’d on OANN.
“Whats really happening is that they are panicking, knowing that Trump is going to win.”
they ought to be panicking ... as mrs. catnipman and myself watched the entire rally last night live, i kept thinking and saying what an amazing contrast this rally is, with President Trump’s dozens of specific policy statements, with President Trump’s dozens of factual ruthless and savage attacks on Biden and a high-energy crowd, versus biden’s pathetic press-release-style amateur video basement communiques ...
it also dawned on me that the biden campaign will be forced to go on the defensive regarding those factual attacks, or simply ignore them and go on the attack against President Trump ... either way, Biden loses because going on the defensive is always a losing strategy (right, spineless GOP?), and attacking President Trump is a waste of time since he’s been professionally attacked by the entire leftist fake stream enemedia 24x7x365 since President Trump was elected, so what good will a few amateurish attacks do from a demented old fool?
“He barely spoke loud enough for whoever was there to hear him, and was clearly fatigued by the end (of an 18 minute speech.)”
actually, biden looked to me like he had been over-drugged ... ordinarily, he babbles exuberant nonsense ... there he simply read VERY short sentences in a wooden and rote manner ...

Reminds me of when WJC was being chastised for wiping his brothers past ‘indiscretions’ from his record and he (supposedly) remarked...
—’What good is it being Pres of the US if one can’t pardon his own brother—’
Of course PDJT didn’t need to reach the Presidency to be able to get TWO scoops when all others got one.
Oh, we're talking about Trump now?
My bad.
Sure no blocked gates @cnn. @cnn if you think families with children will push through this your sick.
America, this is the country @CNN is ok with, think about that.
This is the main gate of the rally: pic.twitter.com/wSKwotoajq— Brad Parscale (@parscale) June 21, 2020

This is what I’ve been searching for as a possible explanation as to why the venue still wasn’t filled to capacity even after the kiddie prank.
I’ve seen similar pictures as the one you posted, but the reply to such is that the only disruption around the gates was 2-3 hours prior to the start of the event, and only at one gate.
I haven’t been able to find any pictures showing such interference as yours imply, near the time of the start of the event. In fact, the pictures I do find that are clearly right before, are like the ones posted by this user on Twitter:

Note the time stamp in the CNN feed of the picture on the left. It’s only an hour before and clearly there aren’t enough people at the overflow area, to have an “overflow”. Indeed, from all the reports I’ve found, there simply weren’t that many people at this event.
I would love to be shown wrong, with pics of riots/disruption posted near the time of the president’s speech. But I haven’t found any.
I think the reality of the situation is that attendance was depressed for two reasons: 1. The COVID fears and 2. The fact that the campaign was proudly touting “1 million ticket requests” days before the event. So people who might have gone at the last minute felt as if there was no reason to fight the traffic (and potential violence) since already 1 million “other people” wanted to go.
Unless shown otherwise, with pics with clear timestamps (and please, no conspiracy theories about CNN’s screenshot being manipulated), I think it’s going to be healthy moving forward to admit that the campaign was rickrolled by a bunch of scrip kiddies and try to prevent that from happening again. I have no idea how best to do that, other than perhaps not touting huge numbers again before rallies. And always encouraging people to go. Don’t even talk about how many “requests” there’ve been. It was counting one’s chickens before they were hatched to do so. Tout the numbers *after* not before.
I think that’s the best lesson to learn here. And if any positive “spin” can be put on this, it’s to point out the obvious, that leftists are obviously willing to cheat to obtain their goals, so there is no way online/electronic voting should ever be permitted.
No surprise. Without him, they’re nothing. He’s their only hope for ratings, such as they are.
>>That stump AOC is already congratulating her people for keeping thousands out of the arena
Her people in China who run/own TikTok?
She’s colluding with a foreign government to defraud the election
