No, not really. It’s merely the Goebbels principle of repeating something enough that people think it’s true/valid. Such as dictionaries caving to the abuse of “loan” - the verb tense is lend, not loan, but people kept doing it, so it became acceptable.
Peaceable basically applies to people’s character, whereas peaceful means a characteristic of an environment.
