Calling Governor Tom Wolf an ‘illustrious dictator,’ Lebanon County Republicans lashed out on Facebook over the county’s reopening status.
Lebanon County will be the only county still in the yellow phase of reopening on June 26, according to Pa. Health Secretary Dr. Levine. The state said that was because of an increase in cases of COVID-19 in the county. Levine put the blame on the politics of the county.
“Lebanon County’s partisan, politically driven decision to ignore public health experts and reopen prematurely is having severe consequences for the health and safety of county residents,” she said in a press conference. “Case counts have escalated and the county is not yet ready to be reopened. Lebanon County has hindered its progress by reopening too early. Because of this irresponsible decision, Lebanon County residents are at greater risk of contracting COVID-19.”
Lebanon County Republicans aren’t taking the criticism laying down writing on Facebook that people should give no credence to the refusal to move Lebanon County to the green phase of reopening.

The county’s commissioners had voted to move the county into the yellow phase back in May, without the approval of the governor. The resolution was voted in on a 2-1 vote, with Republicans Robert Phillips and William Ames approving it, and Democrat Jo Ellen Litz in opposition.
Since the pandemic began, more than 1,200 Lebanon County residents have become infected. 40 have died.

I don’t know but if they are complaining about the shut down or have been vocal about criticizing him for it, I could easily see it as retaliation.

(40 deaths is less than 1522 deaths. Lebanon County's population is 141,793. Philadelphia's is 1,584,064. By my math, Lebanon County is doing MUCH better than Philadelphia.)
Sorry, but when I think of PA's health commissioner, I can't help but to think of South Park, "Mr. Garrison's fancy new vagina." (I thought South Park was supposed to be satire, not the left's game plan.)
Lebanon county is certainly in the conservative side. It was one of the few counties that openly challenged the authority of the governor and Health minister during their disaster of a reopening plan rollout. Other areas mostly backed down.
It’s also home to a huge VA hospital and right next door to Hershey medical center, one of the largest hospitals in the state. There is plenty of excess medical capacity to handle an upswing in cases. Speaking of cases, there is a tenth of the amount of cases and deaths than in neighboring counties. So far only thirty eight deaths have been recorded in Lebanon county. Thirty eight!
The state has given far too much authority to an unelected and unaccountable Health Secretary. The chattering classes in the population centers are too afraid to speak a cross word about Dr. Levine for fear of being accused of being transphobic, but she has been awful in word and deed from the beginning. Incompetent, ineffective, unprepared, petty, and corrupt.
If keeping the economy shut down there isn’t an act of political retribution, I don’t know what is.

Richard Levine, the sick mental case who Wolfe appointed as the Health Secretary, is the one behind this.
The cross dresser mental case is angry that Lebanon County ignored the he/she freaks order to shut everything down a month ago.
Lebanon County basically said, no we are not taking orders from an unelected twisted, balding, psycho!
The county will continue to ignore the illegal “guidelines” issued by that festering, smoldering pus who belongs in the Creedmore State Hospital for the insane.
I’m not looking for a date, I’m looking for a competent government administrator. Dr. Levine could identify as an ice cream scoop for all I care, she was hired because she used to be a he, and in the time when the state needed a person to rise to the occasion, Dr. Levine has failed over and over and nobody in the media or government is willing to say so because actually expecting a Health Secretary to perform the duties of a Health Secretary would be considered transphobic.
