Coronavirus cases may be on the rise in some parts of the country, but that hasnt stopped Americans from looking for homes to buy. And increasingly, those homes are in the suburbs.
A new study from Realtor.com found that Americans are showing a more pronounced interest suburban and rural areas as the housing market recovers from pandemic-induced shutdowns. Pit Bulls will be everywhere again.
It was me looking at Zillow 100 times a day trying to find a home for my sister.
One interesting thing about my suburban neighborhood in a gated community in DFW, is that almost all the families here are from India.
The article notably omits the effects of rioting and looters on this urban exodus. I guess the author wouldn’t want to offend the wrong people and join the ranks of the unemployed.
There is nowhere to live in the five boroughs and anywhere else besides Staten island without having to spend $600,000 for even a condominium or townhouse.
if I had extra money I would buy another place out here because even though the prices seem crazy for what you get, I once thought 500,000 was a lot for what in Brooklyn now goes for 2.5 million.
Some corner portcullises are in order if you have a family large enough to man them.

It makes sense; once they replaced American workers, those workers couldn’t afford the mortgages any more anyway. The Indians replaced them in the offices AND neighborhoods.
Im in outer suburbs already, and I want to move deep into the country .
In fact we sold our previous house to a couple from India, and they were taking over that neighborhood too. Drove by the elementary school my kids went to, and I would say now at least 40% of the students there are Indian.
Americans vote with their feet.
Every one of the adults represent a lost American job, and many of them represent a foreclosed American home.
“Replacement Americans”
my dtr in Portland wants to move out...now she’s talking next spring....I hope it won’t be too late...
Try Trulio and Homesnap too. I think theyre more current.
Lol, prepper!
Sorry, no more New Yorkers, please. Don’t bring your sh-hole- making policies with you.
Especially when the Wuhan virus crisis has made working from home practical for many, so they can move farther from urban jobs without having to drive an hour or two to reach it.
In this environment, I doubt many “Americans” are looking to buy homes in many places at all; they can clearly see employers don’t want them, and there is no more stability in the job market. As a result, they have few children, and therefore little need to buy a home.
I suspect the replacement Americans are the ones looking for homes.
