Maybe a statue?
When will Floyd’s mug be carved into Mr. Rushmore?
When can we tear THAT down?
The more and more I think about it the more I have absolutely no doubt that that knee on the neck thing between Chauvin and Floyd who obviously knew each other pretty well was an obvious set up
I do not think for a minute that Chauvet meant for Floyd to die
I think the video was absolutely meant to go worldwide
nothing stays “permanent” with these loonies
They sure do spend a lot of time memorializing a career criminal who died of a drug overdose.
Also, the mural probably covered up about a dozen FREE MUMIA signs. Don’t they care about him anymore?
How about a big gold casket with a bunch of drugs and guns on top of it? All in gold, I mean.
Tear it down!
hey if i decide to be a pos and put a gun to a pregnant black woman’s belly and stuff myself to the gills with drugs, can i get one?
yes that’s sarcasm. i don’t want anyone to think i’m nuts :)
not saying he deserved to die.
just saying he was a piece of garbage and deserves no such recognition.
My neighborhood is maybe too much the opposite. Once they found out that in any time of his life he put a gun to a pregnant woman’s belly, they likely wouldn’t even protest.
With things constantly changing in our society, someone may decide we can tear it down at a later date. Not saying this would be right or wrong, but that concept seems to change all the time anyway....and it should not. There is right & there is wrong & they are opposite as explained in God’s perfect Word.
I would be very surprised if that ‘Memorial’ is still there and in that condition two years from now.
All it will take is a few well tossed buckets of white paint.
There were similar ‘shrines’ for Mike Brown and Trayvon too.
Most were not maintained, and became safety hazards due to paper, cardboard signs falling off, animals picking through the dead flowers and such. For now, just let it be.
The guy is a career criminal.
Violent thug, established criminal, overdosed druggie.
Nothing laudable, in any context.
Martyr. ?
Good place to walk dogs after giving them drinks?
I can see it now, a great statue of George pointing a gun at a pregnant woman.
When I see these ‘roadside’ memorials to memoralize etc someone who died in a traffic accident, I often wonder the reaction from the SAME PUBLIC that condones this that if memorials etc were put in hospital rooms for people who died there or even on the hospital grounds.
This is sure to become a major tourism destination and religious shrine. People in this community will soon be wealthy.
