The Atlanta officer who fatally shot Rayshard Brooks in the back after the fleeing man pointed a stun gun in his direction will be charged, a prosecutor said Wednesday.
Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard made the announcement about officer Garrett Rolfe during a news conference. Rolfe had already been fired after he fatally shot Brooks, 27, on Friday night.

That DA was a moron, and that cop can get the death penalty for defending himself...I am sure he forgot to show the video of the perp attacking the Policeman, trying to steal his gun, then trying to taser him while running away.
Now no one will want to be a Police officer and I can't blame them.

Garrett Rolfe kicked Brooks while he lay on the ground and the officer with him, Devin Brosnan, stood on Brooks' shoulder as he struggled for life after a confrontation Friday night, Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard said at a news conference.
First I've read of this. This is a game changer. Was this before or after Brooks was shot?

The only reason that there has not been a general strike is that the cops generally have each others backs.
I would love to see a disorganized Blue Flu in some of these cities.
F the ATL.

You couldnt pay me enough to be an Atlanta policeman.

So he ran and he died tired. And the guy that killed him is facing the rest of his life in jail.

Not once did the DA mention how brooks punched and fought to get away and took the Taser gun. And when he mentioned that Brooks fired it, he said that it was fired high in the air and over the officers head. Wow.

> And the guy that killed him is facing the rest of his life in jail.I don't think so. He is eligible for the death penalty, so I believe they will execute him.

So what if he kicked the body. It's irrelevant to the fact that Brooks grabbed the taser and fired it at the police officer. Has he not done that, he would still be alive.
Unfortunately, in the current environment, the BLM types are screaming for blood and would burn the city down if they didn't indict and arrest the police officer. Given the racial make up of the city, any jury will ignore the evidence and send him to jail where one of the animals most likely will kill him.
Another city where the animals will soon be running the zoo.

Me either, guess they are about to find out how the current policemen feel about the pay level.

Bad move on the part of the cop.
The shooting was justifiable. Kicking a dying man whom you just shot? Another cop standing on his shoulders?
That’s as bad as Chauvin neck kneeling. These two Atlanta cops are going to jail!
