Romney didnt win, did he?
That was former Senate Democratic majority leader Harry Reids response to whether he regretted lying about then-GOP presidential nominee and now Utah senator Mitt Romney.
Mr. Reid accused Mr. Romney on the Senate floor in 2012, when he was running for president, of not having paid any taxes in four years. It was absolutely untrue and was discredited by Washington Post fact-checkers and others at the time. But that didnt stop the onslaught of unfair and inaccurate accusations and innuendos.
The Mitt Romney who ran for president in 2012 went on to vote for conviction in President Trumps impeachment trial. And that same Mr. Romney became the first known Republican senator to march with the George Floyd protesters over the weekend.
You remember 2012, right? That was the year of the last presidential election before Donald Trumps victory. And the way liberals attacked Mr. Romneys presidential campaign on opinion pages of newspapers, news broadcasts and in the media echo chamber of blue check-mark Twitter, has a lot to do with how the next election went and how this one will go. Their treatment of Mr. Romney was an inflection point for many on the right.

Jonah and Mittens deserve $HIT and shoved in it!
Pierre Delecto is up to his eye balls in crooked dealings just like Joey Fingers and Dollar Hunter.
He is quite hysterical about the investigation. You have found the reason.
I am ashamed I voted for that liberal rino asshole!!!
IF mittens had fought back he might have won.
Romney Care sunk him. We all knew it would and when hed get visibly a grey when asked about it, he just made it worse.
No, he's not. Everything the Democrats threw at him, Romney bent over and took it up the @ss -- sideways.
If Harry Reid had told a lie like that about Donald Trump, Trump would have posted hourly Twitter messages about Reid until Reid climbed onto another "assault exercise machine."
Dear Mittens,
You spineless backstabbing cur, I am sorry I ever voted for you.
Sorry, Jonah, no one gives a sh** about Mitt and 2012.
All Mitt is owed is a swift kick in the ass, and a shove out the door.
Dear Mittens,
I apologize .... for voting for you.
So a Mormon priest stuck out his foot and tripped another Mormon priest.
Do what they got to do.
Mitt Romney is due a severe a$$ whippin’, plain and simple.
No, it's that after all that Romney has been through he should know better than most what President Trump is dealing with, but doesn't act like it.
It's President Trump who is owed an apology, not Romney.

My initial reaction to this column:
“Amid all this turmoil, why did Jonah feel a compulsion to write about something as trivial as the RATs slandering Mitt eight years ago? As if there was nothing else to write about? And, by the way, apologies are for losers.”
Jonah Goldberg wrote one excellent book, “Liberal Fascism,” which I read twice. But that was before his early-onset dementia set in.
A sad business, because he has considerable talent. But he continues to double down on his Never Trump lunacy. Meanwhile, other Trump skeptics have seen the light — Mark Levin and Kurt Schlichter among others.
Okay, I laughed out loud.
GREAT line.
Apology? Not bloody likely.
I would eagerly take a time ship back to not vote for this guy.
mmmm... that’s about 247th on my 2020 top ten list.
LOL. Thanks.
Are we talking about Pierre Delecto?
