It is this type of blame shifting that will ensure more out of control black men will be killed by cops. It’s time to stop blaming cops because a black man’s normal response to police action is to fight. I’d like to know why Sen. Scott was stopped 7 times on Capitol Hill? Was he is one of its’ High Crimes area at night? Does he live in the area as so many congresspeople do?
Do the Police have his license plate registered as a Senator/Representative, etc?
When I worked on the Hill, I could buy a metal sign to attach to my car license plate that said “Congressional Staffer”. Is this policy still in effect?

Cops can be unpredictable. Most are helpful and professional, but a few bad apples can really spoil the barrel.
Yeah, bogus. for example, I was driving my then girlfriend and her mother the visit someone in the hospital. My route took me through a neighborhood where we “didn’t belong”. I was driving a turquoise ‘66 Dodge Dart, unusual even in 1992. I can’t imagine what description we could have matched, and there was no urgency about the cop. I have other stories, Yeah... bogus. But I didn’t give any lip.
