SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea has confirmed it destroyed an inter-Korean liaison office on Tuesday, as it continued to dial up pressure against rival South Korea amid stalled nuclear negotiations with the Trump administration.
Pyongyang’s official Korean Central News Agency said the North destroyed the office to correspond with the “mindset of the enraged people to surely force human scum and those, who have sheltered the scum, to pay dearly for their crimes,” apparently referring to North Korean defectors who for years have floated anti-Pyongyang leaflets across the border.

PS this is not with China’s blessing. The blame is fully on the criminal and dangerous nuke-increasing North Korean regime which is doing this for show as part of brinksmanship and showmanship which they have always fine to extract concessions from DC and Seoul to feed its new-found appetite of being appeased, which it shamelessly and inexcusably has been.

Unlikely. EVERYTHING is NK is directed by Beijing. They know Trump is under domestic pressure, and that he has a photo OP today. So they are turning the screws.
All of this saber rattling on the part of NK tells me the Covid-19 virus reeked havoc in NK. Perhaps so much so that their food crises is several times worse than it has ever been. Desperate people do desperate things. NK may be so desperate for food and other basic necessities that they are beginning to adopt a what do we have to lose attitude.
