Huh? My point is: Guard, militia, good humor men, it doesn’t matter....there was nothing to be accomplished in that setting.
“Then a stupid militia?”
Tell me how a smart guy like you handles an attack by a mob? Why the quick presumption in favor of the leftists?
(You use the stupid (and pansy) formulation of making an absurd statement, attaching a question mark to put words in someone’s mouth. You don't answer a question asked, instead asking one of your own. Your DunningKruger is growing white hot.)
These idiot kids really think theyre untouchable...they chase after a guy they knew was armed.
There was nothing to be accomplished. 3-5 against 60? Over what? A statue? Is that the hill the militia movement (which I am a part of) wants to die on?
In the end they got nothing but arrested.
White privileged girl runs to the bullets.
Had the militia gone full Kent State that would not have been a good idea. But hey its instagram game time!
Go to 1:45 on this video where blue shirt shooter gets his bell rung by a skakeboard to the head, followed by the mob attacking him.
From you? Nothing. Disparage those who do something while you boast of brains and prowess.
Statue..good analysis. Because that’s the issue.
“Over what? A statue?”
You don’t know what happened but your knee jerk reaction is to disparage someone who shot a leftist. Valueless, an obstacle.
I did 3 wars in 20 years and my battalion did the LA riots......and I'm looking at the feed and trying to determine what the objective was; how to get a win.
My eyes looking at the tactical situation told me it wasn't there.
The current issue the unorganized militia has now is NOT drawing a line over statues. Their two issues are (1) recruiting, particularly the former field grade officers that are needed to plan., and (2) obtaining legitimacy from the community they serve and come out from the shadows-- otherwise they are not true militia, they are private armies.
And they have a real short window to accomplish these tasks.
So what was it?????
Friends are good. Their first inclination is to have one another’s backs. They don't turn to disparagement easily.

Above is an interesting and detailed account of “The Powder Alarm” which preceded the attack and Lexington by several months (it’s been awhile since I read the article.”
The militia had previously been organized and sworn to the British. British General Gage made a surprise visit to a powder house and took a bunch of powder back to Boston. (I think in this article or another, if the American militia still had this powder when the war started they probably
would have taken Boston.)
Anyway - it talks about the training the men received, the tactics (The “Minutemen” and the methods used by Paul Revere were developed at this time), and the ability to bring 1,000s of people into the fight.
We might still have some semblance of the 2nd Amendment, but without the organization and training of a huge number of people it is probably useless. One patriot at a protest gets thrown in jail. The neighbor with the “arsenal” gets thrown in jail. Etc.
If I had one request to every Freeper: The unorganized militia needs former field grade officers. Right now. We don't have them, so we have crappy planners. And egos. And a whole lot of stupidity.
The militia did in fact serve under British command for a time. I am familiar with the powder raid, and so was the militia. Hancock and Adams communicated with the leaders what the line in the sand was before 19 April 1775. We know that by their actions, and there was some communication to that fact.
Interestingly, no one has been able to solve the mystery of who told the colonist (Revere and Dawes). Many think is was Gage's wife, who was sympathetic to the colonists.
Does it actually matter now, if it’s a leftist DA?
“Interestingly, no one has been able to solve the mystery of who told the colonist (Revere and Dawes). Many think is was Gage’s wife, who was sympathetic to the colonists.”
Interesting.
It does take a bit of learning beyond our school days to learn how mixed up things were back then. We get taught that it was the Americans against the British - but it was American British(?) or I guess colonists is a better name(?), but the alliances were pretty mixed.
And perhaps the wife of a British officer would find the idea of freedom from heavy-handed rule (from her personal experiences perhaps) a likable idea.
Leftist DA or not, the video isn’t political, nor does it lie.
David Hackett Fisher has the best book I’ve seen “Paul Revere’s Ride”.
They flat out said “We’re going to kill you” Some girl screetched it.
Good post!
Good lord, all that screaming by the dumbass broad with the camera;........I couldn’t tell what the heck was going on or what went down other than shots fired.
