Initial autopsy results say that Brooks died of two gunshot wounds to his back.
Before being shot to death by an Atlanta police officer in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant, Rayshard Brooks had a cordial conversation about being in the area to visit his mother's grave and to celebrate one of his young daughter's birthdays, according to a series of videos released by officials.
The shooting of Brooks, who is black, on Friday night sparked new protests and an arson fire at the Wendy's where the confrontation started and escalated into the use of lethal force. It came on the heels of days of protests in Atlanta and across the nation over the officer-involved killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Initial autopsy results released Sunday evening by the Fulton County Medical Examiner said that Brooks died from two gunshot wounds to his back that "created organ injuries and blood loss," and that the manner of death was a homicide.
The fatal episode led to the resignation of Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields on Saturday, the firing of the officer who shot and killed Brooks and the other officer involved being yanked from the streets and placed on administrative leave.

pretty good compilation of facts
BUT

https://twitter.com/TheRISEofROD/status/1272302581335891968?s=20
he was on COVID release on a 7 year sentence
Buried in the article:
“But as soon as Rolfe and Bronsan begin to make the arrests, Brooks, without warning, began to struggle and within moments he is seen wrestling with both officers on the ground.”
p
Oh BOO HOO visiting his mothers grave these media types are so pathetic!!! So what did he do sit at his mothers grave and down a bottle of cheap whiskey!!!
>> and the other officer involved being yanked from the streets
Just so it’s clear, he was YANKED from the streets...
ABC is Disney — no agenda, I tell ya’, no agenda...
Now don't forget that anyone.
Is this the guy who was asleep/passed out in the drive thru?
Apparently there isn’t an ‘All Lives Matter’ movement (or website).

How To Not Get Your Ass Kicked By The Police - Chris Rock (Language warning)
He was a good boy, he dindu nuffin.
Except drive while drunk to a Taco Bell and pass out in the drive through.
Had this been a white guu youd have ABC having Mothers Against Drunk Driving on there applauding the officers actions because while drunk he was piloting a weapon of mass assault.
But no - todays narrative is cops bad
But maybe if we had toned down the DUI laws the officers wouldve written him a ticket, impounded the car and given him a ride home instead.
Thats your trade off here - either you want zero tolerance for these things which inevitably lead to this or you accept the trade off of some DUI deaths so that every infraction leads back into jail.
Any other time they wouldnt mention race because that insinuates things about the criminal dontcha know.
of course race is all that matters now.
My dear old mother...
What a load of smoke..
That little segment always appears to be buried far down in the article. Usually followed by someone claiming that's not a deadly weapon and thus shouldn't result in deadly force.
Hands up anyone who has a gun on them who has someone aim a taser at you - who's going to wait to see if they get disabled by the less than lethal weapon and still have a gun to defend themselves with? Anyone? Come on, someone must want to risk their life to protect any idiot...
Didn't think so. If BLM was serious, they'd be marching in the streets saying 'stop fighting with police.'
Yes, ask the owner of the burned out Wendy’s.
How dare they call about a car bringing the whole drive thru to a halt.
This isn’t comparable to the George Floyd killing. This guy was not in custody, he grabbed an officer’s taser and reportedly pointed it at the officer. If the body cam footage verifies this, I can’t understand why the officer was fired.
Whatever Brooks was on (drugs, alcohol, etc.) helped to cost him his life. He overpowered two police officers, grabbed the Taser gun from one (lucky for the police he didn’t get their firearms), and tried to shoot one while fleeing (see the video and Taser flash, the gun possibly aimed at the first pursuing officer’s face/head which could have blinded or killed him).
He was still armed with the stolen Taser when he was shot. There should be NO charges against either police officer. I think the shooter officer is going to be “lynched” by an overzealous prosecutor, aided by mob fury.
The Lloyd killing in Minneapolis was totally uncalled for and a reckless, if not deliberate act of deliberate murder, for which Chauvin most pay the price.
Brooks is a totally different case and the video shown so far proves it, though a lot of news media fail to point this out. Wonder why?/sarc
Faux had on some cop who said the taser had already deployed and the cops should have known it wouldn’t be lethal from that distance...yeah, in the space of seconds they’re supposed to take all that into account when they’ve just suddenly fought with the guy on the ground and are very lucky a gun wasn’t grabbed?
.
It was a Wendy's. [/snark]
*ducks and runs*
