Sexual activity among young American men has declined sharply since 2000, with nearly a third reporting no sex with a partner in the prior year, according to a survey study published on Friday that suggests social media and electronic gaming might be filling the void. The trend is concerning as sexual relationships are important for well-being and health, researchers note.
The survey found that from 2000 to 2018, nearly one in three U.S. men aged 18 to 24 reported no sexual activity in the past year. Lack of sexual activity, or sexual inactivity, was also on the rise among men and women aged 25 to 34 years during the survey period, the report in the journal JAMA Network Open found.
Possible reasons for the decline in sexual frequency may also include stress of juggling work and intimate relationships, as well as the prevalence of other forms of solo entertainment.

20% of the men having sex with 80% of the women. There lies the answer.
Yes great movie. I love the theme song sang by Lulu “To Sir with Love”. Classy movie.
Made me laugh. But so true. Like they can’t think and chew gum at the same time.
When we went to Jamaica last year I could’t believe how many women had tattoo’s all over their bodies. It was like 1 out of 6. Beautiful women and beautiful bodies but were garish with the tattoo’s.
Told by a younger single guy that dating is hell now. The women are just outrageous in their expectations of a man.

What I noticed was that the girls were either with a small group or by themselves. I did not see many male/female couples. I did see gay couples holding hands.
I also saw young women facing off against each other and yelling.
While they had youth on their side and at my age, anyone that young is, at the least, *cute*, they mostly seemed washed out and dowdy. That surprised me, given what I’ve seen of the personal videos young people post these days, complete with full maquillage, long, highly-decorated nails, professionally dyed hair, hair extensions and revealing clothing, usually with high heels. The young women on the street were plain and amazingly pale. Also, with all the emphasis on working out and healthy diet, the thin ones looked weak, with poor posture and dry hair. The fat ones were just slobs. Not a lot in-between.
IDK, it just seemed *off* to me and not what I recall from my own youthful ‘peace march’ days.
Could you please list these expectations? Thanks.

I'm old enough to remember when girls took classes in cooking, sewing and home economics while the boys took woodworking, machining and auto mechanics. The girls would sometimes come into those classes with treats that they baked in the cooking class and boys would make the girls something out of wood. Parents would bring their cars into the shop for free maintenance done by the students - bring your own oil and parts.
Times sure have changed.
They want someone over 6 feet tall, be able to afford a big house, very nice car. They want to be royally treated, dominate the conversation, determine where and when to go, and told how smart they are. In short, they want to be treated like little princesses. Do they ever think about treating a guy like a prince? LOL
I'm sure that would make a difference! :-)
a smart college guy would marry a high school girl who is from a good religious high school. Or a gal who went to voc college and wants to open her own business. But will stop and take time for her babies.
My son says that the swipe culture of Twitter has given women the expectation that there will be someone better if they just keep looking.
I remember when the Law school and the Nursing school had mixers.
Then the lawyers started marrying each other. They did not realize that there could only be one unlikeable person in each marriage.
LOL!!!
Well, she doesn’t have to worry about being sexually assualted,..at least by the rappers, she’s even too grotesque for them. The lesbos might be a different story.
The struggle is real, to put on those pants!
