Around 100 protesters left a trail of red paint down Fifth Avenue on Thursday as part of a so-called Blood on the Street march against police brutality with at least one arrested.
At least one of the demonstrators spray-painted BLM (Black Lives Matter) on a street sign near The Metropolitan Museum of Art and was arrested as the rest of the group chanted Let him go!
This is art and its supposed to be revolutionary, said the protester, who gave the pseudonym Lenz.
I just tagged the sign because black lives matter and so do black artists, he said as he was being cuffed. It felt really, really good.
His charges were pending Thursday evening, police said.
The protest billed in a flyer circulating online as a Blood on the Streets.. march and visual representation for black lives took off from 110th and 5th Avenue at around 1 p.m.

They should be careful or they may get the blood in the streets they are after.
This is art and its supposed to be revolutionary,...
Dear God...PLEASE make them pick Staten Island’s south shore as the next target.
The anger from the 3 Columbus statues is BAD right now and there are many thousands of Italian guys that would LOVE to dance with these jerks.
Many would be on the hospital for a very long time.
We’ve not had looting yet. They can destroy the north shore I dont care. That’s obama’s sons so if they want to burn it go ahead.
But yeah I’d love a visit by them
BTW, their replies are some of the most immature, stupid and ridiculous replies I have ever read.
They should be careful or they may get the blood in the streets they are after.
Sadly it’s looking more and more like that just isn’t going to happen.
Well. Im glad they didnt use Blood on the Tracks because no matter what Bob Dylans politics are or are not that is one of the best records ever. Top ten. And lets face it. I am exhausted today watching Columbia statues getting pushed over military generals deprecating our hero CIC, and generally getting told to hate America.
Because they are on the left, their motives are pure. The leftist court will forgive him. FARCE.
[[This is art and its supposed to be revolutionary, said the protester,]]
So, can police find out where these criminals live and spray paint their houses and vehicles and call it art?
Columbia = Columbus. Columbia in the poetic sense I guess
60% of this country does not want its history erased.
There will be backlash.
Its fitting. This is just one big temper tantrum after all, at this point.
Just as Jericho Green has aptly described. (YouTube)
I figured this would be in the Town of New Haven.
Sure thing, pal. How about we leave some "art" on your doorstep. You know, "art" that's "revolutionary" in a gastrointestinal way.
The Left is getting away with making anything they do OK, no matter what. Just give it a phony title, and it's all good. Opposition to whatever any such individual does is hateful/wrong/oppressive.
I will look him up at youtube.
These are the most immature, idiotic, selfish and worthless groups of people I recall reading about in a long time.
Let's see.
Yup.
lol
It reads like a MadTV skit.
Isnt she on the Capitol? She needs to go, tear her down
Thanks stuckincali.
Sometimes those autocorrects are Freudian slips.
I was stationed at Columbus AFB twice. Columbia, Columbus. Ever intertwined in Americana. Which is under assault
People complain about these soy-boys, but they are willing to at least do something. We don’t even really have keyboard warriors anymore. Just people saying “they’ll be sorry”.
I don’t know how anyone can be optimistic about the future now. There is the far left that is clinically insane, the center that believes whatever they are told by the T.V., and the right that is hoping Jesus will come and fix it “someday”.
LOL!
