Americans rushed to snatch up physical copies of the movie Gone With the Wind after HBO Max announced it was blacklisting the film from its streaming platform.
The film was the number one bestselling film on Amazon early Wednesday morning, even though both DVDs and Blu-ray discs were sold out.
An HBO Max spokesman said Tuesday the film was pulled because of ethnic and racial prejudices that were counter to WarnerMedias values.

Bezos is a Bozo. The Catholic Church used to create best sellers out of routine novels by issuing a ban right from the Vatican.
One in particular I remember was “Peyton Place” which sold out everywhere within hours of the ban being issued. The book would bare warrant a PG rating today.
Why do people keep mentioning Blazing Saddles?
It’s a liberal ethos film through and through.
Most of my very large book and DVD collection may well be banned in the next few years.
I am a “prepper” in many areas—one of which was prepping for cancel culture on steroids.
My family got The Catholic Telegraph newspaper when I was a kid. As a teenager I would read the list of "morally objectionable" movies as the must-see list.
Breitbart advised people to buy copies because this was coming. I put one in my Amazon cart yesterday afternoon. They’re all gone this morning. I missed my opportunity.
Probably due to liberal use of a certain word that begins with "n".
I already have the Blu-ray of GWTW, but I may make a backup copy. I also bought physical copies of the orginal Dumbo and Lady & the Tramp for the same reason.

And... it’s GONE. All US-format DVD copies are GONE off the Amazon website. All that’s left are foreign-language versions with English subtitles.
Theyll pry my copies of GWTW, as well as my copies of Birth Of A Nation and Song Of The South, from my cold dead hands. Birth Of A Nation is one of my all-time favorite movies.
Same here- I cant claim to have been that prescient that many years ago, but my natural contrariness made me collect politically incorrect movies and books and such, and Im grateful to have them now.
Nagger?

Yeah but Blazing Saddles makes white people look racist, so it fits the narrative.
None of this matters until people finally wake the hell up and ban HBO itself by refusing to subscribe to it.
The Woke Crowd hates it because Sherriff Bart doesn't kill all the white people.
Blazing Saddles came out when Real Racism was still a thing.
