Al Sharpton to the NFL: 'Give Colin Kaepernick a job back'

Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy at George Floyd's funeral in Houston on Tuesday, and during it asked the NFL to "give Colin Kaepernick a job back."

[cut]

“The head of the NFL said, ‘Yeah, maybe we was wrong. Football players, maybe they did have the right to peacefully protest,'” he said. “Well, don’t apologize. Give Colin Kaepernick a job back. Don’t come with some empty apology. Take a man’s livelihood. Strip a man down of his talents. And four years later, when the whole world is marching, all of a sudden you go and do a FaceTime, talk about you sorry. Minimizing the value of our lives."

“You sorry? Then repay the damage you did to the career you stood down, ’cause when Colin took a knee, he took it for the families in this building,” Sharpton added. “And we don’t want an apology. We want him repaired.”

That looks like Tawana on the right. She moved out of NYC and changed her name. She still owes Stephen Pagones half a million bucks. He was the guy she accused of raping her and smearing her with doody and her sued her lying ass and won.

Here’s a story from 7 years I found on her.

Sharpton has a point. And it is because of what the head of the NFL just came out and said

He was stupid to do it..and I hope it bites him in the butt.

He’d could maybe fill up the gator-aide bottles, Al. He’s not good enough to play football.

Maybe tax dodger Al should actually talk to Kaepernick. He doesn't want a job, he was washed up three years ago. Uncle Phil at Nike (the old red diaper doper baby) is taking care of Kaepernick quite well. Commynick would embarrass himself which just can't happen for the cause.

Theory: I speculate when Kaepernick bombed out of the NFL, he decided to take his revenge on them. He may not be able to complete passes or dodge rushing linebackers, but he’s clever. He used race and the Left’s narratives of “injustice”, to cover his lack of skills and talent to wreck the NFL. Instead of standing up to him, the NFL brass and covering media appeased him and folded like a cheap tent... (appeasement never works) and now are being devoured by the “woke” PeeCee beast they unleashed. Only in America can the wealthiest and most privileged sports stars be “oppressed.”

Kaepernick has succeeded beyond his wildest dreams in bringing what was once a great American Sunday habit to the brink of ruin. Can this institution that brought many minority athletes to wealth and fame, rise from the ashes? Not if they sink further into the abyss of “woke” appeasement and butt kissing... so far that seems their only “strategy.”

#RustyIrony... those blessed with great amounts of testosterone... show us they have no balls.

The ahem, Reverend is about four years too late. And the NFL bent over backwards to give Kaepernick a try-out last fall and he effectively spit in the face of league management and the teams that sent representatives. Kaepernick does not want to play football. But all this is moot this week, overcome by recent events.

Yes make Kaepernick the NFL Commissioner. I’m sure Ole Rog would be glad to make the sacrifice.

Every time you hear Al Sharpton you should mentally add ‘Cracker!’ to whatever he says. It is they way he talked in the 80s and early 90s before he decided to hide his true feelings. So it’s more authentic that way.
