Those who live in the far north in author George R.R. Martins “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels live by one principle: We do not kneel. They call themselves the Free Folk.
That used to be a label that was proudly worn by all Americans. But a still-too-unquestioned movement pushing guilt-by-associated-skin-tone has begun to undo one of this nations bedrock ideals.
The kneeling phenomenon demanded by the radical left in the wake of George Floyd’s deathand embraced by those guilted into submissioncreates a two-tiered social stratification of kneelers and those who refuse to bend the knee that’s wholly un-American.
Mobs resulting from years of citizens saturated in critical race theory and grievance studies have pressured far too many into believing they bear guilt for the past sins of others. Now they kneel in fealty to that false reality or be exiled from society.
Unfortunately, its also moved beyond just kneeling.
A crowd in Webster, Massachusetts, recently forced Police Chief Michael Shaw to lie face-down on the ground for eight minutes. In Cary, North Carolina, a group of Caucasians washed the feet of black organizers to ask for forgiveness. Not to be outdone by the latest woke trends, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took a knee at a massive anti-racism protest at Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
Worse, kneelingeither figuratively or literallydoesnt even satisfy the mob.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said all the “right” things to the radical leftists holding Guilt Court but was still heckled out of a public square for refusing to defund the police department. The truth is, even mobs tire of the readily subservient and easily obedient.
Deep down, we know kneeling in submission to the whims of mobs or tyrants is wrong. Both our ancient stories and our modern myths reflect this truth.
Instead of bowing to the altar of collective guilt, our exemplars should be Hanania, Mishael, and Azariathough most know them by their Babylonian names: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
When Neo-Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar II commanded all his officials to bow down before an immense golden idol, the three men refused. They knew the prescribed penalty, one that was far worse than mere social ostracization or bullying. Failure to bow meant incineration in a vast furnace.
Yet they also knew that to prostrate oneself before something other than God was wrong. And so, they did not bow. They did not kneel. They stood firm for what they knew to be right. Ultimately, though they were cast into the superheated flames, they were saved by their faith. We know who the heroes were in that episode, and it wasn’t Nebuchadnezzar or the henchmen that followed through on his tyrannical orders.
Fast-forward more than 2,500 years, and we witness a similar scene. This time, the proving ground isnt in Babylon, but Germany. Instead of our reality, its our world as depicted in “The Avengers.”
Kneel before me, orders Loki, the god of mischief. Is not this simpler? he asks as the crowd of innocents complies meekly. You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel.
Everyone in the plaza kneels. All but one. Not to men like you, comes the defiant response from the solitary holdout. Hes an elderly German, one who has witnessed the tyranny that follows a population that kneels to the pressure of a mob.
There are no men like me, responds Loki.
The elder stares at Loki, There are always men like you.
Its one of the most powerful lines uttered in the first 12 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And it should have special resonance today.
We dont applaud the people kneeling in suppression. We feel sorry for them. Loki is the villain, not the hero. The elderly German who resists Loki shows true courage, and he’s saved by the literal personification of America’s values.
While this is an example from the silver screen, it would not resonate if we didnt know it to be true. The bravery of the elderly German wouldnt place a lump in the throats of grown men the world over if they werent inspired; if they didnt hope that there was at least a chance they could show that same level of courage if they had to.
Well, we need that courage now.
One of the more frightening realities of the kneel sessions is that they represent the semi-successful takeover of an entire cultural narrative, which has now been thrust upon a temporarily cowed majority.
We must show people frightened by the collective guilt mob that, as Jordan Peterson once explained, It is not virtuous to be victimized by a bully, even if that bully is oneself.
Americans in a position to defy this nonsense must show their intimidated neighbors that peaceful resistance to the collective guilt mob is possible. Courageous men and women must rise and say, in one voice, I empathize with all those who suffer, but I will not be bullied into accepting the sins of others. I bow to no earthy figures. If that happens, then we will win.
Alexis de Tocqueville saw the potential for faltering democracies to create weak citizens who bow to social pressure. There is, he noted, a great difference between doing what you do not approve or pretending to approve what you do; the one is done by a weak man, but the other belongs only to the habits of a valet. Americans should reject both choices. Giving in will not abate the mob, it will only embolden them.
Tocquevilles warning on what can happen under a soft despotism is eerily prescient:
It does not break wills, but it softens them, bends them, and directs them; it rarely forces action, but it constantly opposes your acting; it does not destroy, it prevents birth; it represses, it enervates, it extinguishes, it stupefies, and finally it reduces each nation to being nothing more than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.
Since this nation’s inception nearly 234 years ago, hundreds of thousands of brave Americans have died to ensure we will never have to kneelnot to a movement, not to a cause, not to those who seek power over our minds and souls.
We dont have nobility in this country, nor do we condone one segment of the population coercing or bullying another segment into silence or emotional servitude.
We did not kneel to British tyranny. We did not kneel to Nazi fascists. We did not kneel to ruthless, Japanese imperialists. And though it took generations to muster the required resolve, we did not kneel to the Soviet Unions quest for global domination.
If we are worthy of our Declaration, our Constitution, our flag, and our highest ideals, we will not bow to a movement that has quickly become intellectually dishonest and morally bankrupt.
Americans do not kneel. We stand.

I kneel for ONE, only the trinity.

The army of Orcs do not care if you kneel or not. Your humiliation is just entertainment.
The forces of good in this former nation refuse to organize. If that continues, they will simply be swept aside by the mob.
Your AR15 isn’t going to save you.

what we are seeing happen here is akin to what our soldiers went through when Iran hijacked a ship and forced the sailors to kneel on the decks at gun point and photos were taken-
The only difference is that some cops and people in power are willingly allowing themselves to be humiliated and degraded by allowing the Guilt Movement demand that they kneel or lay face down, in humiliation-
Unbelievable!-
They claim to be “Antifa”.
But they are following their example “To a T!”
In before the 30-06 proponents. :-)
I kneel for God alone.
THat was pretty much my post on Friday:
The vigilantes arming against Antifa: Residents carrying AR-15s and wearing bullet proof vests take to the streets ‘to defend’ neighborhoods and businesses

Maybe, but I’ll take a bunch with me........
If an investigator coerces a suspect into a false confession, can we all agree the officer would be guilty of wrongdoing? A reasonable person wants to think the Black Lives Matter organization agrees, but their actions suggest otherwise.Have you seen the YouTube videos of Black Lives Matter members coercing apologies from white men? In both examples, it's fair to say that one side forces their will on the innocent party. Both cases are morally corrupt. And yet one is seen as tragic while the other declared righteous neither end with justice.
Louder with Crowder
This is a movement by liberals to wrest control of America out of the hands of objective law keepers- the left want complete control
I do NOT want the police disbanded, and replaced with LIBERALS with guns running round enforcing their subjective unconstitutional laws on us!
So we get rid of the police and replace it with untrained civilians and think that ‘abuse of power’ won’t ever happen? Only an idiot would think this would be the case- there WILL be abuse of power with any unit of enforcement you put in place there will always be complaints filed- always- that’s what perps do- they lie about ‘abuse of power’
When you deal with drunk- drugged up- mentally ill people- you will always have to use force to subdue them and you will always have complaints field against you-
I would say given the fact that only 2 black unarmed people were killed unjustifiably last year, while many 1000’s of people of all races were arrested- speaks very well to the fact that there is no ‘systemic racism’ present- Where are the media and people in power citing these facts i n the face of the idiotic calls to disband the police because of ‘systemic racism’?

The deep state led communists do care if people kneel.
Of course they care. Symbolism is all they have.
They have nothing more.
Nothing.
There’s no dishonor in being forced by a superior power into slavery, but it is an eternal disgrace to voluntarily surrender one’s liberty for a filthy bowl of oatmeal and promise of security by liars.— Charley Reese .
“They claim to be Antifa.”
There was never much difference between the 1930’s German Antifa movement and the 1930 Nazis. They had the same end goals of socialism.
They mainly hated each other because they had different masters. ANTIFA Mark 1 was loyal to Josef Stalin, while the Nazis were loyal to Hitler.
Sadly, ANTiFa was so out of control, they made the normal Germans consider the Nazis as a stabilizing influence, which they were, ironically.
Much the same crap is afoot here.
This weekend I attended a rally for ending excessive force by the police. It was largely non-partisan. There were three speeches including a brilliant one by our excellent Chief of Police who made it clear that making charges like “systemic racism within the police” were both inaccurate and hugely counterproductive for eliminating abuses by police officers. When it came to the 8 minutes plus of respectful silence, many of the 150 present knelt. I and the Police Chief remained standing as did a few others.
I do not know why the Police Chief did not kneel. I did not kneel because first, for me, kneeling is an ironic way to honor George Floyd since that act led to his death. Second, kneeling is a symbol of the penitent - at least in many Catholic Churches. I have lots of things to be penitent about but not a thing that involves physically hurting another person or racism. I had nothing at all to do with Derek Chauvin’s actions nor the inaction of the three fellow officers. Third, kneeling is now associated with a particular political movement. It is a movement whose choice of facts and rhetoric I do not agree with - even though I have no issue with the unarguable principle about Black Lives. Fourth, kneeling as a form of mass confession of sins is associated in my mind with mind control, self-abasement and collective guilt - commonly used by Nazis and Communists. Finally, my attendance at the meeting was driven by a belief that we all deserve to be treated fairly and justly - regardless of race and creed. For me, Justice stands, she does not kneel.
