The mob scene in Julius Caesar is one of my favorite passages in all Shakespeares works.
Caesar lies dead, killed by assassins who feared he was becoming a tyrant.
A mob roams the streets, seeking revenge on the assassins.
Cinna the Poet ambles into the crowd to attend Caesars funeral. Unfortunately, his name is the same as one of the assassins: Cinna.
Vigilantes stop him in the street and conduct an inquisition on the spot. Where are you going? Where do you live? Are you married? Whats your name? The citizen-inquisitors order him to answer directly, briefly, wisely and truly.
The play assumes a jaunty tone as Cinna jokes about answering directly, briefly, wisely and truly.
Then, the play suddenly turns dark.

I remember that part. The mob leader says “Tear him to pieces; he’s a conspirator!” right when Cinna reveals his name.
Ultimately, the mob leader says, “’Tis no matter; his name’s Cinna! Pluck but his name out of his heart and turn him going!”
BTW, the unfortunate poet’s full name was Helvius Cinna, and he was not a relative of the conspirator Cornelius Cinna.
Just shows what happens when you don’t take a knee.
Honestly these people have lost their minds.
There is no doubt that if Trump had tried to walk
through the crowd, they would have torn him to pieces.
Rather like a chicken with a fleck of blood on it.
Yes, definitely a lesson there.
“Kill him for his bad verse! Kill him for his bad verse!”

“Brush up your Shakespeare...”
I did at Stanford freshmen year. Only because it was a stupid prerequisite which had nothing to to do with my Business Major. The only good thing about it was the surprising amount of hot girls in that damn class..
Theyre going after all of the good and pleasant things in life because their whole leftist movement is motivated by a satanical hatred and rage against anything good. Remember, Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer, the perfect example of jealous rage against the good.
Ive been looking at some of the things theyve destroyed: bookstores, including a couple of famous ones (Uncle Hugos and Uncle Edgars in MN, specializing in science fiction and mystery, respectively), local arts centers (such as the Santa Monica Music Center), etc. Clearly these were centers of black oppression.
