And judging by the numbers so far, President Trump drew voters out in force. With almost 98 percent of districts counted, Republicans have cast more than 861,000 ballots for Donald Trump, with 734,000 Democrats voting for Joe Biden. And while its still unclear how many people voted in person versus mail-in ballot, some counties are reporting that Trump drew plenty of supporters out of their homes.
Most voters who cast in-person ballots in the suburban Pittsburgh county of Beaver, for example, were Republicans, said Daniel Camp, a GOP elected official there. Republican turnout in person outperformed Democrat turnout in a county where there are 10,000 more registered Democrats, Camp said.
While national polls show Biden leading Trump, its the swing states that matter. And the latest Change Research poll shows the two candidates neck and neck in battleground states won by Trump in 2016. Both men are tied in Wisconsin, Biden holds a slim lead in North Carolina and Michigan, and here in Pennsylvania, Trump leads by 4 percentage points. Winning Pennsylvania is crucial for Biden no Democrat has lost here and won the presidency since 1960.
David La Torre, a Republican public affairs executive, said hes only seen one Biden sign in Pennsylvania so far and that wasnt even in person.
It was a borough councilman, celebrating on social media the picture he took of a Biden sign in somebodys yard.
Trump signs, meanwhile, hes seen a lot of them.
They are everywhere, La Torre said, and many of them are homemade.

I live in SW Pennsylvania. There are Trump signs everywhere! Flags, banners, homemade, etc. Me and the Mrs. have a game of spotting a Biden sign. She has seen one and I have yet to see any.
Pennsylvania is a Red State, not a swing state.
I frankly don’t believe that even Joe Biden is enthusiastic about himself.
P.S. Those guys got lazy in 2016. They wont be lazy in 2020.
In the past - usually no one from the same party shows up to vote for an incumbent president.
And more showed up for Trump than Biden.
Mostly. If it could only cede Philadelphia to New Jersey or Delaware.
‘and here in Pennsylvania, Trump leads by 4 percentage points.’
the same polling outfit that showed this result, CNBC/Change Research, also has FL going for Biden by 3 percent...so I’d take this bunch with a grain of salt...
My sister has a townhouse in PA.
IF I live there 4 days out of 7, can I claim that as my residence and vote in Pa in time for the election instead of NY?
Anyone know?
My work and life are pretty flexible so I could spend 4 days up there.
“Trump signs, meanwhile, hes seen a lot of them.”
’They are everywhere,’ La Torre said, ‘and many of them are homemade.’
Same thing happened in Wisconsin in 2016. We drove from SW Wisconsin up to our cabin, 6 hours away. The ONLY signs for Hillary! were handmade - stating nasty things about her, LOL!
Trump signs were everywhere - handmade and professionally printed. It. Was. Awesome. :)
And, you’ll remember that WI flipped to Red from Trump! I have a feeling it’ll be that way again this time around against Slow Joe! (And we have a gawd-awful, useless, still locking us down, pencil-necked, douche of a LibTard Governor these days, too! Blech!)
KAG! Trump Landslide Ahead! :)
Well Pennsylvania may be his birth state but his professional career since 1968 has been in neighboring Delaware. He was elected as US Senator from there in 1972 and served until he took office as Vice President in 2009. As far as Pennsylvania background is concerned, it was his plagiarizing the "I'm the first Biden[Kinnock] in a thousand generations to get a college" [1968] (British Labour leader Neil Kinnock) in referencing his upbringing.
from = FOR!
Of course, they’ve watched him for decades.
Mondale carried only Minnesota, but this time it is unlikely Biden will carry PA.
You’re exactly right.
‘Pennsylvania is a Red State, not a swing state.’
as of 2016, a year Trump took the state, dems outnumbered pubs by 919,000; this go round a large cohort of first time voters, who almost always skew left, will be replacing a Trump contingent of older voters who’ve passed away or are more infirm than four years ago...point being, the electorate is not in stasis, especially in a populous state, and prior results are no guarantee of success, as Hillary Clinton learned the hard way...
‘but this time it is unlikely Biden will carry PA.’
that’s precisely what the Hillary Clinton bunch was saying in October 2016 about Trump...
I’d say just drop your registration in NY and go for it.
Good thinking!!
I would imagine that youd eventually have to show some proof that you actually lived in PA. A drivers license, a lease, etc. Anyway, heres the form.

And to get you in the right frame of mine, first listen to the Pennsylvania Polka.
LOL
I’m already looking at the process online.
Can’t afford to waste a vote this time around.
Of course our house district went D for the first time in a long time because the district is all of Staten Island and part of brooklyn.
We voted almost 60 percent Trump on Staten Island but the Asians and Russians in the brooklyn part are killing us.
Putting up a felon on the R side didn’t help either :)
But it’s more important to get Trump elected than a house member.
