My suspicion would be that Esper announced his troop disarmament idiocy too late for the "million" rowdies to make travel plans. I doubt that many of these rioters wanted to face armed national guard troops. Unarmed? That would work, but they found out too late.

Third day of demonstration in downtown Oceanside CA.

Gathered at Shopping Center Mission and I-5, walked mostly quiet to Coast Hwy and then dispersed. Similar to the two previous nights in the opposite direction.

Thur they sat on the coast Hwy for a few minutes. Lot of HS kids.

Some businesses boarded up, some not. No damage. Cops seems well organized keeping traffic moving around the demo and “escorting” the demonstrators from each side.
