Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski proclaims today that she may not be able to support the reelection of President Donald Trump. President Trump fires back:
Long term CTH readers will well remember how Tea Party candidate Joe Miller was backed by Sarah Palin when he stunningly defeated Lisa Murkowski during the republican primary in 2010. However, Murkowski would not accept the primary defeat and the entitlement-minded incumbent ran as a write-in candidate, and enlisted the assistance of democrats in Alaska to retain her seat in the general election.
The Tea Party was furious at the level of elitist refusal to accept the primary defeat in 2010, and Senator Murkowski has been a thorn in the side of conservatives ever since.
In a further slap to the face for the base of the movement, when Murkowski returned to the Senate as a successful write-in candidate, the 2011 professional republican apparatus, the Decepticons, never held her accountable for her insufferable self-interest. Instead the GOPe, through then minority leader Mitch McConnell, allowed Murkowski to return to the same committee positions she held before rebuking the will of the republican electorate.

Her senator father was a crook too - clear nepotism
I’ve said from the beginning that Trump is no republican. He just had to join a party to win. And that one is the one that most aligns with his world view.
But this year it appears that we are seeing something I was wondering about: A full on uniparty attack on trump. They are bringing out the long knives and I suspect it’s barely getting started.

I wouldn’t judge all Republicans by Murkowski, who is certainly an outlier.
That said, I hope the Trump Curse strikes her with full force.
Term limits !
Now, more than ever !
Republicans have been wearing my phone out with texts trying to get me to donate. Will soon give some directly to Trump and maybe another or two.
But if there is decent conservative opposition to MurCOWski, I’m going to loosen up the pocketbook to help send that GOP commie home!!!!!!!
I will donate $100 to whomever her Republican Primary opponent is. Be it man, woman or he/she!
I agree. She was outed by the Kavanaugh fiasco.
At this point, what have we got to lose?
Question the status quo...ALWAYS.
Paging Sarah because I don’t give a **** anymore.
When is she up for re-election?
She won a write in election with a name that is difficult to spell. As far as I am concerned she had to steal it in order to win.
And that was after LOSING in the primary! The winner in that primary LOST to a write in candidate.
She may be available since her and Todd have split. Doubt he wanted to move from Alaska, she might. No clue what is going on in her life now does anyone else no anything?
She made a deal with the Dems. Get the Dems to support me, I get back in office and will support the Dems.
She did.
But she did vote against Impeachment for Trump.
Murkowski is totally corrupt. If Palin runs, she will beat Murkowski again in the GOP Primary in AK.
True that. Both totally corrupt.
It will be OK.
ComDems have over reached, if we can keep them from being able to use mass voter fraud, they will go down in flames.
Well that NO Republican has done more to forward the conservative agenda in DC than any other elected Republican period!
I think her magic is gone.
I don’t believe she has the support she once had in Alaska.
I’ve had Alaskan friends tell me that its a myth that Alaskans are the rugged individualists we think that are. They’re very much into the welfare game particularly the Indian population. Which I understand is quite large in number. Murkowski is very good at keeping them fed both in food and federal goodies.

Do you mean the Eskimo population?
Do your Alaskan friends call the Eskimo people Indians? Just curious.
