I’ve had Alaskan friends tell me that its a myth that Alaskans are the rugged individualists we think that are. They’re very much into the welfare game particularly the Indian population. Which I understand is quite large in number. Murkowski is very good at keeping them fed both in food and federal goodies.

Alaska is just doing what democrats and liberals in all the states with Native American reservations do, whether it is Alaska, Montana, Wyoming, Oklahoma, etc, etc-they keep the Natives on the res by giving them substandard housing and medical care that is “free”, and the tribe opens casinos for extra cash, but the system is set up so that they will always be living in substandard conditions-with drug and alcohol addiction at a high rate, as well as crime...
Those who move/escape to the outside world and do what other sensible young adults do-go to work-oil pipeline, fishing industry, etc, go learn a trade like construction, animal husbandry, mechanic work or go to college and get a degree that is marketable make real money and have the same lifestyle the rest of us do. It is no different than the way democrats keep Blacks on the plantation in government housing in big city ghettos-just slaves of a different ethnic group-and it has been going on for over 100 years in the case of Native Americans-it needs to change...
Yep I knew that, sad really. What we have done to the Indians is a shame and that should be an abject lesson of where socialism leads but it isn't.
