Ana Sanz, 26, marched for about 10 miles with a sprained ankle on Monday in Washington, D.C., to protest the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and to demand accountability for the dehumanization of black people at the hands of law enforcement.
But Sanz, an Afro-Latinx from Washington who works with women overcoming domestic and sexual violence, said it's also time for something else for her fellow Latinos to confront the racism and anti-blackness within the community.

Yup - hadn’t you heard?
They, literally, redefined racism as only from a group that’s oppressive.
And, of course, blacks are NEVER oppressive they are always being oppressed so blacks can’t be racist. Check your privilege!
/s (but not about the definition part - thats true)
Well, to be honest, according Angrier Mitchell, Zimmerman was a “white latino”.
This is a new wrinkle, that people other than whites are getting the you're a racist label.
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
They don’t have “ingrained” racism. It’s learned prejudice based on experience.
My father always told me never to go picking a fight when I was outnumbered 3:1.
I guess some people never got that message.
There are conservative people with hispanic ethnicity and socialist people with hispanic ethnicity.
I have met both and can assure you that there are some very racist hispanic people.
Now that’s funny.
Afro-Latinx? How about Halfrican, like the rest of them?
Also interesting how every other race has “racism” toward blacks. For absolutely no reason, of course.
just check the mexican gangs who are at war with the black gangs
‘Don’t they know that their cultural betters have determined that their primative unwoke language must have a Germanic neuter gender?’
Latin has a neuter gender...
I attended an international school in Venezuela in the 70s and all the Venezuelan kids were always bragging that “there’s no racism here, everyone’s equal”. When it was pointed out to them that it seemed all the high government officials and business owners were light-skinned and of European extraction and all the laborers were dark-skinned and of African/indigenous extraction, the usual response was, “coincidence!”. Hugo Chavez was a response to hundreds of years of light-skin domination. I was stationed in Panama in the late 80s. Ditto Manuel Noriega.
Latinos are as racist toward each other as anybody else.
Let me rephrase: Latinos CAN BE as racist toward each other as anyone else.
I always find it interesting how EVERYONE is expected and even required to change, everyone that is but blacks. The reason for 99 percent of all their interactions with the police is based on their own behavior. But yet, you’re a “racist” if you say blacks should make some changes. I’m guessing it’s because most people think that to ask blacks to change is like asking an alligator or a rat to change its behavior. We just all have to adjust to them.
Indeed NBC News must have missed the drive-by shootings here in LA.
Aaaannnnnddddd . . . the Revolution eats its own!
That’s right. Hispanic folks, along with Asians, most of whom weren’t around when Blacks were slaves, are now required to kow-tow to the lowest common denominator of the Black criminal class or they’re “racists.”
You have two options, guys. Capitulate and grovel to this Satanic leftist and lawless racist insanity or stand up to it and say, “HELL, NO !”
Some idiots have taken up the challenge of changing the hispanics institutional racism to on their knees worship.
From the state with a 2.5% black population, the elevation of that 2% to the tippy top of the heap. It may not bode as well with the La Raza pure race folks though. Time will tell.
The bigger problem is black versus Hispanic gang violence. Hence the videos of the Latin Kings in Chicago beating up BLM “protestors” showing up to loot Hispanic neighborhoods.
