Mattis 'should have picked up a couple of his history books' before denouncing Trump
Fox News ^ | June 04 2020 | Charles Creitz

Fox News contributor Deroy Murdock fired back Thursday at former Defense Secretary James Mattis after he ripped President Trump's response to protests following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Murdock told "Fox News @ Night" that Mattis' statement misses the mark on several fronts.

"He begins by saying very nice things about the protesters, that they want equal justice under the law, we all want that," Murdock began. "Then he has this amazing sentence, 'We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers.'

Generals are supposed to keep their mouths shut.

The military is not to be politicized.

If there is a problem it can best be address through
channels.

Look, if a sitting president does do something unConstitutional
they need to come forward, but this was just absurd.

Mattis is just wrong.

Mattis supports homos and trannies in the military and slow walked Trump’s order to kick out trannies. He is very “dramatic” in his quotes. One might even say, a drama queen.

Never married, no women accusing him of anything.

Closet homo.

Or reflect on the Haditha Marines that were persecuted under his watch.

Ok, soooo in about 10 weeks, we have had a national lockdown over a virus scare. Prisons were emptied. The economy was crashed. Just as it started to unleash, a series of communist riots were launched. They are protected by the Democrat party and Dem DA’s refuse to prosecute rioters.
General Allen and Mattis turncoat and publish OpEds against Trump. Call him a threat to the constitution. SecDef says he has ruled out the use of the military to protect DC or stop riots.
On the same day, Obama goes on TV as an ersatz president.

If I saw this happen in another country, I would immediately recognize a color revolution violent overthrow of the government developing.

Yes. Yapping dog Mattis was the “I come in peace, if you eff with me I’ll kill you all” guy. But when someone effed with the Haditha Marines and they fought EXACTLY the way he said, he prosecuted them.
He did it because he is a coward. Mattis didn’t have the backbone to stand up for them. It was easier to sacrifice them for his career.

Then he used command influence to try to affect the outcome of the trial. Thankfully, this sneaky behavior resulted in Wuterich’s escaping an unjust murder charge.

Precisely. Years of unnecessary delays and heartbreak. Then it became apparent that Mattis’ political career was the priority.

There was an amazing effort by various FReepers to support and seek justice for the Marines. And the Thomas More Law center was there for Chessani if you recall.

Ignoring politics and current events, the more Mattis opens his mouth the more it becomes clear why Obama and Trump both eventually had enough of him.

Moorer Radford Affair 1969-71. A Pentagon spy ring involving Admiral Thomas Moorer, Admiral Robert Welander, General Alexander Haig and probably Admiral Stansfield Turner and Admiral Charles Larson.

David Young, the co-director of Nixon’s Plumbers unit who helped bust the Moorer-Radford ring said, “To understand Watergate, you need to understand Moorer-Radford.”

Nixon decided to hush up the Moorer-Radford affair because he feared impact it would have on his foreign policy. See books by Hougan, Colodny and James Rosen.

For a fair amount of time, the ‘lecture’ on Mattis was that he was a intellectual and ‘warrior’. So the more he talks...the stupid he looks, and his ‘mad-dog’ status is more of ‘poodle-status’. There are various idiots in the 1980s and 1990s of the military that just seemed to be at the right place and time to move up....without much common sense or strategic knowledge. He’s one of them that skipped challenges, and reached some imaginary ‘peak’.

Mattis should come of the closet.

It’s 2020 not 1950

Thought this guy was suppose to be strong...

Mattis abandoned Soldier monument material for crash political cash, aka 50 pieces of silver

To not see the obvious self loathing and flag/monument hating protestors for who they are, terrorists who want to die, irreverent people who detest the desire for immortality, and instead talk about the moot point of unity, is beyond insane.

Does he think Antifa will respect his monument and America as a monument better than Trump? Or is it the fascist tendency to prefer citizen-troops without self respect, expandable?

Disgusting

When Schwarzkopf said one man’s terrorist is another one’s freedom fighter, made me think that the military has a problem with relativism and taking terrorism as based in self loathing seriously.

Mattis confirms it. Scary these people are supposed to defend us. Someone brainwashed them or they have very little respect for the American people.

No wonder the terror war is a stalling despite the expenditure.

It’s military academies and their ability to turn conservative minds into progressive, NWO, politically correct graduates. Who go on to leadership roles in influencing, creating, and administrating progressive, NWO and politically correct agendas in DC. I have a relative who perfectly fits my description. He is at the Pentagon and will be a poster boy for all things progressive. And he is on his way straight up the ladder. I fear for our future.

Field officers are officers. General officers are politicians. It is naive to ever think there is an exception to that.

Politicians have their own unique way of administration, leadership, execution and planning. It is never pretty.

There are some who thought Mattis was of a different mold.

Deliberate self delusion.

Only one exception to that in my memory would be General George Patton; we all know what happened to him.
