Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) asserted Thursday that former Secretary of Defense James Mattis calling President Donald Trump a threat to the U.S. Constitution was true, honest, necessary, and overdue.
Murkowski, one of the Senates most left-leaning Republicans, made the comment while speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill. Asked whether she supports President Trump, the lawmaker replied, I am struggling with it [ and] I have struggled with it for a long time.
On Wednesday, Mattis attacked President Trump in a statement to The Atlantic by accusing the president of violating the Constitution over the clearing of Lafayette Park on Monday and deploying the military to blunt riots in Washington, D.C.

They are feeling the heat coming from several areas. Their schemes are failing and the desperate do rash things.

They continue to underestimate the electorate
The president is the commander in chief whether some people like it or not.
This is seditious. I dont care if megalomaniac Mattis or any senator overrides that rule.

Sarah Palin would have beat her in a primary if she wasn’t fed up with politics.

[Tame Dog Mattis was a terrible Secretary of Defense. He seemed to confuse his position and think he was Secretary of State directing foreign policy. Man up, Tame Dog, and stop griping about falling out of disfavor with your boss.]
I don’t understand the nickname. To my thinking, someone who breaks the rules and risks serious punishment, including imprisonment, for his men might deserve the tag. That’s what Col. Allen West did when he fired a pistol next to an insurgent’s head to get him to talk. All Mattis ever did was get a bunch of his people killed by enforcing politically-correct rules of engagement, and talking crap that he lacked the moral courage to follow through on.

The fact that McConnell doesn’t expel her from the GOP Senate caucus speaks volumes. Open rebellion against a sitting U.S. President and the rats inside the Republican Party are joining the feeding frenzy. They helped her steal her last election and are doing nothing to punish her duplicity. Cowards all.

The cash Kow wants $$$ for Alaska again. Im seeing lots of people locally making fools of themselves over BLM and Trump. Some i once had respect for, not anymore. I am also seeing we are not going to be able to continue as a unified country much longer until one side destroys the other.

Like I said, the base is with Trump. The political class - career politicians, lobbyists, consultants, bif money donors, other leeches ... you know, the never-Trumpers - are all with the Bush wing. Ultimately the Bush's seek not to win, but to do enough damage that Biden wins. And if that happens because of the GOPe there is no way the Bush's get to re-capture the base. That bridge will be burned forever. Their "victory" over Trump will be Pyrrhic, they'll be the leaders or a party that has no base because the base will split off.
The GOP has had a good run. If the RINOs had gotten behind Reagan and later Trump it could have been the leading party for generations. Alas, they didn't.
