In recognition of everything that’s going on right now, LEGO’s actions for #BlackOutTuesday involved not just a $4 million donation to organisations devoted to racial equality, but a request for sellers to not advertise any sets involving police or the White House.
As The Toy Book report, emails went out on Tuesday from Rakuten (who handle LEGO’s affiliate marketing) asking resellers to avoid promoting a long list of products that included police stations, police vehicles, a donut shop that included a police minifig and the excellent Architecture Series version of The White House (pictured above).

LEGO is a greedy, self-serving company. I was selected to be a LEGO Master Educator year before last. I thought it meant piloting new products in the classroom and being in on the ground floor with the product line. All it really meant was allowing them to pick my brain about “how best to serve the education community” by being a pitchman for encouraging my school district to buy more LEGO. Skyping with them in Denmark, I repeatedly told them that they needed to lower the prices on their educational products - no response. After a year of “Mastering”, our group (myself and the rest of the so-called Master Educators) were given our reward. We were going to be allowed to post our LEGO lesson plans on the LEGO Ed site for everyone to download for free. When no one responded the LEGO person said “What? No excitement?” Finally someone asked “Is that it? We get to post our own lesson plans?” The LEGO rep got all snippy and replied “You should consider yourselves lucky. Not everybody gets a chance to be associated with the name LEGO!” I’m so glad my own children preferred Playmobil.
AND when I went to the opening of the dull, dull, dull LEGO Land in Winterhaven the Person in the giant mini figure costume put his claw-like hands where they didn’t belong during our meet and greet! Fresh as paint!
In other news today, Sherwin-Williams Paints announced they would discontinue all shades of white paint.

Also, blue state governors across the nation are outlawing kids from playing “Cops and Robbers”. From now on it will just be called “Robbers”.

One word keeps going through my mind: cynical. I’m becoming cynical about everything. Politics, the courts, coronavirus, our leaders, the stupid followers, masks, the news, teachers, churches, movies, books, China, our country’s survival, the upcoming elections, kneeling fools, woke people, justice. I’m sad it’s coming to this.
It’s hard to care anymore, because there is nothing more to care about.
You can color me cynical too.
America is gone.
Another cowardly business to boycott. My list is getting longer but my wallet is getting fuller.
Time to find and buy from patriotic businesses, not leftist squishes, kneepad CEOs, and liberal anti-America, anti-police, black racist supporting doucebags.

Every business leader that spouts anti-American garbage is foolish. They bite the hand that feeds. Silverstein at NBA, Silverstein at Etsy, Silverstein at Gillette, Manfred at MLB and Silverstein at Macy’s pretend to be special but cannot survive without customers. Similarly, members in the Church of Power in the one true Church are fools who cannot survive without loyal customers and parishioners.

I grew up with LEGOs...will never buy any more because toys ain't supposed to be tools of political activism...you just made yourself a barrier between Black and White kids...who just want to play and have fun.
