New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday took fresh shots at President Trump, saying the native New Yorker has “failed to do anything positive” for the state while in office -- the latest escalation in the war of words between the two men.
“His policies have been vicious to New York,” Cuomo said at a press conference. “He changed the tax code in a way that increased the taxes in New York and other Democratic states. He has failed to do anything positive for New York.”
Cuomo was responding to criticism by Trump of the way Cuomo has handled both the coronavirus crisis and the recent protests and riots in New York in response to the death of George Floyd.

Cuomo, NY has been losing House seats for decades. In 60 years we’ve lost almost half. Trump isn’t the reason people and employers have been escaping NY.
Cuomo is saying the SALT deduction limitation of $10,000 on State and local taxes caused federal taxes to go up for people living in states with higher state and local taxes. I agree this is true, but is he admitting that higher taxes are bad? I thought Dems believed in higher taxes and that they fix problems? He is also admitting that Democrat states do have higher state and local income taxes LOL!

Andrew Cuomo has not done much of anything that was positive for either New York State or New York City. He SPURNED a considerable amount of assistance offered to him by President Trump, and he was consistently wrong-headed about COMPELLING nursing homes that lacked sufficient facilities to keep COVID-19 Wuhan virus patients in isolation, which was available to him all the time from the hospital ship anchored in New York harbor, and the Javits Center field hospital, neither one of which was utilized very much.
Being a Democrat means you never get the blame.

Cuomo claims that in New York they actually read the Bible. Its true. Cuomo has the habit of reading the Bible when he dines on boiled baby.
He’s counting on the NY voters not being smart enough or aware enough to know what Trump did for them and what Cuomo and DeBlasio didn’t do or did wrong.
He's also counting on his fawning media to help his narrative.
“His policies have been forcing the top 1% in New York, my donors and sponsors, to pay more Federal taxes” is what he meant, I think.
Needless to say, the majority are not the top 1, 5, or 10% negatively affected by the “vicious” tax changes, but in the bottom 90%—who are generally benefiting from them, even in New York.
I recall Trump giving New York everything it needed during the corona outbreak and Cuomo turning around and putting infected patients into nursing homes
Why, it seems like just two months ago a giant Navy 1,000 bed floating hospital was provided gratis to NYC. Of course, Cuomo never utilized it as it was more important to raise the Corona death count, but there is that.

He didn’t use it so it doesn’t count.
He won’t use the National Guard so that won’t count.
