Tiger Woods was quickly criticized after he broke his silence about the death of George Floyd and released a statement Monday evening on Twitter.

The 44-year-old golfer said that his "heart goes out to George Floyd, his loved ones and all of us who are hurting right now.

"I have always had the utmost respect for our law enforcement," Woods said.

"They train so diligently to understand how, when and where to use force."

Ruh Roh! Has he already been 'uncle tom'd' anyway? And, Tiger, apparently some/most LEOs understand their training, others, albeit few, do not. Let's get 'er teed up!

If true, he is definitely redeeming himself, as Rory becomes the wimp.

How terrible! No wonder the Left is enraged (as usual).

Tiger knows who buys his shirts. Let’s see if Nike drops him now.

More cruel hate filled statements from Tiger (sarcasm). No wonder the Left is enraged:

“We can make our points without burning the very neighborhoods that we live in,” Woods wrote.

“I hope that through constructive, honest conversations we can build a safer, unified society.”

This is why Tiger stays silent to the media. Because he just can’t win.

Tiger is intelligent enough to understand this has not just become a race issue just as some of the BLM protesters have come to realize. The Dem leaders are simply using the Floyd case to perpetrate their latest hoax against Tfump.

Tiger is long time friends with Trump. I think politically that he may be a decent guy. However, I am going to be consistent here. I wish all sports figures keep their pie holes shut and just play their sports. I don’t want to hear from Rory, and while it is nice to hear Tiger as a contrast to many others, including Rory, I don’t want to hear from him either. Just play golf. And just drop that damn Nike contract.

Yes, clearly incendiary remarks from Tiger, and not measured at all. /s

Exactly what I was thinking. IMHO Rory jumped the shark.

“I wish all sports figures keep their pie holes shut and just play their sports.”

... I hear you, and agree, but.... there are some truths that need to be spoken. I appreciate Tiger’s courage and willingness to speak it rather than playing it safe for the sake of his career and endorsements.

Tiger knows that he is widely praised in the gold world because of his achievements in GOLF, not his skin color.

Anyone who releases a thoughtful, well balanced statement like this "ain't black", as Joe Biden would say.

...”How terrible! No wonder the Left is enraged (as usual).”...

The “We will tell you what to say and you must say it or we will hurt you,” crowd, has now attacked a decent man who refuses the tribe mentality. Good for him. He knows how hard a person has to train to become good at something and I am sure that he has needed the protection of the police many times in his long career as a celebrity. GO, TIGER! You are a voice of reason in the midst of insanity. Thank you!

I don’t have a problem with what Tiger said...

He mentioned the importance of education...

He did not lecture white people that they should feel guilty...

He did not blame the society...

ESPN mentioned some reactions from MLB players...
There were white players who spoke out against the “racist society”...

I am getting tired of people stating that white people should feel guilty...

If he walks this back, it will be worse than if he had said nothing at all.

I see no reason why the entire statement shouldn't be posted here.

“We can make our points without burning the very neighborhoods that we live in,”

I'd bet that Tiger doesn't live in those neighborhoods.

The rioters have no concern for education, unity, peace, honesty, OR moving forward except to the next store to loot and burn. So Tiger is not “one of them” now.
