An Oklahoma State University football player says he has tested positive for COVID-19 after attending demonstrations protesting the police killing of George Floyd.
Amen Ogbongbemiga, a senior linebacker, tweeted Tuesday that he had tested positive for the virus after attending protests in Tulsa.
"After attending a protest in Tulsa AND being well protective of myself, I have tested positive for COVID-19," he tweeted. "Please, if you are going to protest, take care of yourself and stay safe."
Ogbongbemiga, a second-team All-Big 12 selection last year, returned to campus on Monday and will be quarantined in separate on-campus housing, according to the university.
College football teams across the country are trying to navigate through the ongoing pandemic while preparing for training camp ahead of the 2020 season.

I don't believe you can test positive in less than a week.
This looks like a planted narrative to keep the covid-criss alive.
LMAO. Not feeling any sympathy or pity, at all.
Good! And I hope it ruins his career.
“This looks like a planted narrative to keep the covid-criss alive.”
Agree. “They” will have us living in a panic loop for the next five months.
What career? His name won’t fit on a jersey.
Its going to get rough for a lot of grannies.
Who will watch the kids?
Positive results have been found in as little as 24 hours from first possible exposure. So, yes, you can.
More anecdotal hysteria that should not make the news.
You can start symptoms as early as two days and as long as 14 after exposure.
Amen Ogbong.... (I can't pronounce it) ... er Amen won't do that anymore.
Have fun with that, Obemiga.
*chuckles*
That depends. The incubation period is 2 to 14 days, and people have been shown to be contagious before they have symptoms. This means that they have fairly high viral loads.
How do we know he wasn’t positive before he decided to be a rioter?
Karma.
We don’t. I was just responding to the comment of “you can’t test positive in less than X time”.
There are documented non-Chinese cases where a doctor tested positive within ~24 hours of first potential exposure.
You can get it in 2 days.
Disgusting.
“Disgusting.”
Thanks for the input. Shall I give you instructions on what to do with any further comments?
You can - supposedly its UP TO 14 days from point of infection that symptoms occur. But that also means he couldve contracted it before the protests.
