Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday questioned how much blame should be directed at Antifa for the violent protests and looting in the wake of George Floyd’s death in police custody.
Mr. Graham, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Antifa has played “a part” in the civil unrest. But the South Carolina Republican noted that rioting and looting happened during protests long before the militant anti-fascist group became a movement.
“We will try to find out how organized this violence is,” Mr. Graham said. “But I am old enough to remember 1968, and Antifa was not around in 1968, that I know of.”
“What happens when lawlessness occurs and people get mad and angry and someone breaks a window, other people follow in kind,” he said.

Jacksonville, FL sheriff was just on the radio. He said 80%-90% of those dozens arrested are locals. The rest from around the state. No “busloads” and organization was at the 2-3 people level. So you’ve got radical hobbyists making trouble here. Soros isn’t sending squads of goons to all 70 cities rioting. Some for sure but not all.

This reminds me of Congressman Leo Ryan going to Jonestown to investigate Jim Jones and the People’s Temple rumors. He enters as a investigator and by the time the Jim Jones Celebration Dinner is over he is a pandering instigator of the virtues of “this great exercise” happening in Jonestown.

They had a run off last time. We were not organized for the run off. The candidates did not unite behind each other to beat Lindsey.
I know Duke if he does not make the run off I will contact him to get him to throw his support behind Lapierre. I am sure Lapierre would do the same.
I do not know or trust Joe Reynolds. He has never visited the Upstate like Duke.
With the open primaries LG pulls in a lot of Dem support. Add to that SC sees continual migration from NY, Illinois, NJ, etc. Guess how these people vote...

And 95% of them will vote automatically for the Democrat on election day no matter who the candidates are. However, for some reason Republicans feel they must pander to constituents who will never vote for them at the expense of those who do loyally vote GOP.

I’m old enough to remember a little about 1968, also. As I recall, in 1968 they were calling themselves The Black Panthers.
