Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday questioned how much blame should be directed at Antifa for the violent protests and looting in the wake of George Floyds death in police custody.
Mr. Graham, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Antifa has played a part in the civil unrest. But the South Carolina Republican noted that rioting and looting happened during protests long before the militant anti-fascist group became a movement.
We will try to find out how organized this violence is, Mr. Graham said. But I am old enough to remember 1968, and Antifa was not around in 1968, that I know of.
What happens when lawlessness occurs and people get mad and angry and someone breaks a window, other people follow in kind, he said.

What an idiotic remark.
I think I’d rather see a Democrat win that seat than this self-important, do-nothing POS.
Rubio is an idiot.
There are lots of black voters in Lindsey’s South Carolina.
Grahamnesty is back to being himself! A namby pamby POS!
Exactly. We don't need any identity law and order. Lady Justice is supposed to be blindfolded.
Doesn't and won't happen - arrest, jail, bail, release and repeat. Out of action for only 24 hours with no further punishment.
The Looting was, based on what I have seen, largely young Black kids. Antifa is more a White Secular Liberal type organization made up of rich White kids who have embraced Marxism. They say they are against Facism, who is not, but it is more deep than that. They are against 2nd amendment, they are against free enterprise, etc.
The confrontations with Police I think have more to do with Antifa. The rioting is just Urban unrest in certain Black Neighborhoods. I am in my 50’s and have seen riots pretty much as long as the Senator has, LA in 1992, the Riots in Miami in the 80’s, and the ones in 68 well I was a kid so sort of not as much.
Who are you going to believe? Rubio or your own lying eyes/s
Me, too. Another traitorous jerk
Graham is Soros slime.
Someone wants to protect their shock troops and jerking on Graham’s chain again.
Good gosh....evidence hits this tool square in the face, daily, and he’s either too obtuse to see it, or too owned, by the Globalists/ChiComs/Antifa funders, to see it.
sounds like a sickeningly mis-guided statement
and its the money and organization behind antifa and blacklivesmatter and OccupyWall Street and Ferguson (SorozNazi) that needs to be shut down the MOST! how long would any sane government permit such evil sedition to continue, anyway??)
Maybe I’m missing something, but as far as I remember, people actually did have something to protest about in 1968 - among other things, Johnson not trying to win in Vietnam.
So what does 1968 have to do with this...is he unable to look at the PICTURES of who’s rioting?
I watched a lot of videos. Certainly a lot of the perps looked like local gang bangers to me. My guess is antifa is being seeded into the mix to agitate and stir up the locals.
It is hard to believe locals organized this by themselves. Thus I believe its a hybrid. Antifa organization with a lot of worker ants supplied by locals.
The totalitarian edicts by some governors, mayors and county executives because of the C-virus should be over. These are the same politicians now saying that people have the right to a peaceful protest. They disgust me.
Has he blamed White Supremacists yet?
When Huma Abedin swooped up to Graham at NoName's funeral and passed him something, he looked like he had seen his own ghost.
Me, too. Graham is an opportunistic, spinning, do nothing but CYA POS. He’s the worst right up there with Romney and Flake and so many others.
McConnell needs to relegate him to The Committee on Shoveling Bull Crap.
It has to be bad enough that he believes it will ruin his life. There is no way that Lindsey Graham does not know how evil and widespread AntiFA is.
