Pizza chain &pizza is offering its employees paid time off for activism following the death of George Floyd last week. The fast-casual restaurant announced the news on Sunday. “For those in this pain. For those in this fight. No I don’t - and don’t call me Shirley!

a lot of the companies (including mine) have over the past couple of years suddenly adopted “charity time” where they would give you days off for works of charity and this included political activism.

Big companies that are leftist run I could sort of understand - but everybody doing it? This isn’t corporate largesse - these same companies only give maternity leave as approved by law and no more.

It smells like a tax break.

If an employee is injured or commits a crime on company time, is the company liable?
