We have seen a lot of disgusting, repugnant tweets and threads on Twitter, especially with the riots going on across the country. But this thread from a professor named Sarah Parcak giving very specific details on how to destroy the Washington Monument is a humdinger of horrible.

Semantics. It is still the University of Alabama system. I point this out to let people know that even though you may live in a Conservative State this is MEANINGLESS when the Educational System within your “Conservative” state is as Leftist as the faculty in any Liberal State you care to name.
You must understand, they are the enemy within. If your devotion to an Alma Mater blinds you to this fact you are a big part of the problem.
I saw a twitter thread about this woman’s ‘obelisk post’ - some people thought she was doing a great troll.
But aside from the woman herself, why do you think Egyptology is such a useless specialization?

It would be stupid for trump to leave Twitter. With it, he has a direct line of communication with the people and bypasses the media.
This isn’t about the Washington Monument. It’s about the obelisk in Central Park.
This entire past week is a well orchestrated operation by individuals to overthrow the present American Gov’t by liberals and to install a gov’t as was planned in 2016, but Hillary did not get elected. The libs are funded by several money groups and have the media aiding and abetting the whole operation with the exceptions of a few conservative media groups. I believe a major portion of the 9 trillion dollars Obummer borrowed is also helping fund the current attack on President Trump. The voting by US mail is the biggest threat to President Trump’s success in the Nov. election. The Pandemic was well planned, and this recent episode was an event not planned for but is being used to destroy the economy with an impact that was unexpected for the benefit of the liberals. The rapid movement of controlled protesting administrators could not have happened this quickly unless it was planned well in advance. If the economy collapses, there will be a major Civil confrontation to overthrow President Trump.

I was responding to a fellow engineer about her competency. As just an archeologist, she isn’t necessarily qualified to tell how to drag down an obelisk. Including the fact the materials would be totally different from what she’s used to.
And re your first statement, I’d agree it could be a troll. After telling us the WM is a racist monument, she the. Later asked that people not drag down the WM.
But I didn’t like her apparent comment regarding Hillary and how great things would be. Could also be a troll. Sarcasm doesn’t play well in print.
The self-righteous prof doesn’t realize he’s racist for acquiring and carry around pictures of dead slave owners in his wallet.
I am very disturbed that UAB employs such a disturbed individual. She should be fired immediately.
I am no fan of these propagandists disguised as “professors”. As I stated in a previous post, I have “disowned” two of my relatives because of their vile Anti-Trump bile.
Guess what their Alma Mater is? That’s right: UAB.
They aren’t as leftist as, say, Berkeley, but they are becoming a blight on the State.
I hate saying this, because UAB has an excellent hospital. A few years ago, I underwent heart surgery at UAB and received excellent care. But the University itself, apart from the Medical School, leaves much to be desired.
And, yes, if a professor from the Tuscaloosa Campus pulled such a stunt, I would be incensed and calling for their resignation.
Just a note: In the past few years, there has been plenty of friction and resentment between the UA Tuscaloosa campus and UAB. UAB backers have falsely blamed Tuscaloosa for undermining them, mainly their athletic programs. Typical lib behavior, I guess.
Believe me, the average Alabamian is not proud of this situation.
Just drop them in the waters between Miami and Cuba.
Parcak is guilty of advocating the destruction of both certified public monuments and private monuments as well as providing criminal means to do so.
Somebody should file an official complaint with the police about her “advocacy” and “facilitating” criminal acts of destruction.
