MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) – Fox 9 reports that the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s report released Monday ruled the death of George Floyd a homicide.
The updated report states that on May 25, George Floyd experienced a cardiopulmonary arrest while being restrained by a law enforcement officer(s). Ex-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is now charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter in connection to Floyd’s death.
Earlier Monday, the attorneys for the family of George Floyd shared the findings of their separate autopsy, which determined that Floyd died of “asphyxia from sustained pressure” on his neck and back.
The new Medical Examiner’s report also notes other significant conditions such as arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease; fentanyl intoxication; and recent methamphetamine use.
Last week, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office released a preliminary report in which it was determined that Floyd likely died from a combination of underlying health conditions, being restrained by police, and any potential intoxicants in his system.
There was reportedly no physical evidence that he died of asphyxia of strangulation.

I was just pointing out the remarkable and stark differences in the autopsies. Nothing “artful and deceptively selective” about that simple comparison.
I marvel at how two different doctors could arrive at such different conclusions on the same body.
It’s not rocket science. If you don’t want to end up in police custody, then don’t engage in illegal activities. If you are detained, do what the cops ask without resisting. If you have an underlying heart condition, then don’t take illicit drugs. If you are an ex-con, keep your nose clean in the future so you don’t return to prison.
I think the cop was negligent in his application of the otherwise MPD approved method to fight prisoner resistance and he used poor judgment as far as determining whether GF was in real distress. It resulted in a death for which he should be held accountable. And he is. He’s in jail, on suicide watch, which some FReepers are positively giddy about. I think this whole thing is a shame, but GF and Chauvin both share responsibility here. We’ll find out to what degree when the trial is over.
3 cops stood around while a handcuffed and unconscious citizen was assaulted for many minutes by another dirty cop. Feel free to defend that. I won’t be.

a fireman came over offering to assist. Dirty cop waved him off. After the ambulance drove off, with Mr. Floyd’s body, it went around the corner and radioed for help. Dirty cop wouldn’t let them start CPR. I wonder which cop peed on the body?
Coronavirus is a joke.
See, when people suggest ‘there were drugs in his system’ those defending a (literal) murderous cop will bleat out ‘how were they supposed to know?’
But then they turn around and make up the idea out of thin air, that the dead man had coronavirus and that they’d inevitably catch it.
Aren’t police cruisers equipped with CPR equipment to protect first responders, you know, ever since the early days of AIDS?
Or are you just making up any excuse you can to cover up for Federal Civil Rights violations (potentially deadly force continued against a handcuffed and unconscious man) as well as 3rd degree murder (not trying CPR when another cop is ON VIDEO telling Mr. Kneecap that the victim does not have a pulse)?
Considering he was full of meth and fentanyl, who knows.
But unlike 99% of the freepers I lke to wait for an investigation to be completed before making a judgement.
You will recall that the coroner initially said there was no asphyxiiation or neck trauma. Was he right then or now?
The defense attornies will have a field day with that.

Read the Statement of Probable Cause against the now-ex-policeman for 3rd degree murder.
In Minnesota, it does not require intent.
There is a 9-minute long uncut, unedited, not-tampered-with video taken from 6 feet away, the whole time the victim is on the ground in handcuffs.
On the video, ONE OF THE POLICEMAN holding down the victim, checks for a pulse, and tells Mr. Kneecap that the victim in cuffs does not have a pulse.
Mr. Kneecap doesn’t check for a pulse himself.
He doesn’t start CPR.
He keeps his knee on the unconscious, DEAD (== no heartbeat) man’s neck for over another 2 minutes.
Common convention is full brain death takes 4 minutes.
This isn’t a Hollywood movie. A man in cuffs, on the ground without a pulse, doesn’t suddenly turn into The Walking Dead and attack you.
At that point a knee on the neck (potentially deadly force) is no longer alllowed; and since the man in cuffs is literally in police custody, they have an affirmative duty under the law to care for him. Unlike someone who merely calls 911.
There’s a word for this in the Minnesota Statutes.
It’s called “Depraved Indifference”.
And it is part of the definition of 3rd degree murder, which in Minnesota does not require intent.

If not, I ask, respectfully, that you watch it.
It doesn’t matter what was in his system if he had a criminal history, none of that should matters, if you believe in the rule of law. Mr. Floyd died at the hands of a dirty cop, who was playing with himself, or trying to get a quarter out of his pocket.
I am not a lawyer, but I thought we citizens had constitutional rights that guaranties the Federal Govt can’t fire on us.

That’s a cop — a first responder — a 19 year veteran — with CPR training — not doing CPR on a prisoner in his care, after another policeman tells him on the spot, in real time, the guy has no pulse.
That’s “depraved indifference.”
And Perry Mason won’t be able to save him.

Actually only 1 cop stood around. He was trying to keep the growing crowd of onlookers at bay. For most of the video 3 cops were on Floyd: one on his legs, one on his back, and Chauvin on his shoulder/neck. Most of the video only shows Chauvin because of the angle. But by all means, swallow the media narrative.
