Hennepin County Medical Examiner Declares George Floyd Death Homicide
FOX 21 ^ | 1 June 2020 | Site Staff

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) – Fox 9 reports that the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s report released Monday ruled the death of George Floyd a homicide.

The updated report states that on May 25, George Floyd experienced a cardiopulmonary arrest while being restrained by a law enforcement officer(s). Ex-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is now charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter in connection to Floyd’s death.

Earlier Monday, the attorneys for the family of George Floyd shared the findings of their separate autopsy, which determined that Floyd died of “asphyxia from sustained pressure” on his neck and back.

The new Medical Examiner’s report also notes other significant conditions such as arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease; fentanyl intoxication; and recent methamphetamine use.

Last week, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office released a preliminary report in which it was determined that Floyd likely died from a combination of underlying health conditions, being restrained by police, and any potential intoxicants in his system.

There was reportedly no physical evidence that he died of asphyxia of strangulation.

The report does not indicate the deceased was intoxicated with methamphetamine. The toxicology test can detect meth and metabolites up to three days after ingestion. Thus, the description “recent use.”

None of that matters at all. He died in police custody. When the government takes you into its custody they have a duty to protect, medically if need be, and there was that need with Floyd. They knew that as they called an ambulance.

Yes, Floyd was in bad health, probably (not official yet) on drugs that caused his death. Doesn’t matter. He was in their care. The cops did call an ambulance but they mistreated him in a fashion that someone in the medical crisis Floyd was in should not have been treated (probably no one should either).

Knee-on-neck cop has come to the notice of Clintonistas.

Does anyone have a copy of the Minnesota Penal Code handy, to spell out the elements of the different kinds of homicide?

From the Rush thread you also said:

“Actually, it is in the police manual, so who are you claiming disavows the technique?”

Now you’re calling it “negligent homicide.” Kind of seems like you’re doing a 180.

Those cops have it so easy dealing with drugged out
Street people trying to push fake 20s at the same store .
I am sure they trust these lovely people when they say I cant move or breathe as not a trap to get attacked again .

I had to have some major surgery two years back - and Fentanyl was used.

The surgery went well, but in the recovery room, before I was completely out of the anesthetic, my heart almost stopped. I was alert enough to hear the heart monitor beep slowing down, down, down, until only one beep, long pause, and the docs saying “what is going on with her heart” - They started doing something in a big hurry to fix whatever was going wrong.

I don’t think people realize how dangerous this drug is - particularly the Chinese street version of Fentanyl. If I hadn’t been in ICU recovery, I wouldn’t be typing this today, and just so you know, I was flat on my back, with oxygen, and no knee on my neck.

That doesn’t matter, though. People will believe whatever fits their bias. “It isn’t very pretty what a town without pity can do”.

Antifa makes it difficult not to focus on the perp. There seems to be no middle ground here.

Just remind all the Antifas, this happened in a State and City all run by Democrats. There are very few Republicans in positions of power in Minnesota. Yet the press doesn’t seem to want to mention that.

it seems you love government authority. cops shouldn’t be exempt and are agents of the state. Did you defend Mohamed Noor too? There wasn’t even video there. The man was defenseless on the ground and not resisting.

What I’m saying is, why does the media lie at every turn in order to do the bidding of Democrats? They pretend this was St. George who was “murdered,” when in reality he was an addled illicit drug user who was an ex-con trying to pass counterfeit bills.

Ppl like this die every day in America, often in custody, but suddenly you’re beside yourself because you “saw” snippets of it, plus it was a white cop and a black criminal. Never mind that there have been 549,000 black on white violent crimes in 2018 vs 59,000 white on black cases, per the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Apparently only whites are racist in your book and we “need to stop!” Well I happen to think ALL lives matter and it’s a 2-way street!

I really don’t see 1st degree murder, given what we know, but man, oh man there’s some depraved indifference.

I know what you mean. Heard Rudy Giuliani describe his case for 1st degree this afternoon. fwiw--Rudy said it became premeditated as the minutes ticked by and the deceased's pleas for help were ignored.

No I am LIVID at this cop.....as I am LIVID whenever cops act like judge, jury and exercutioner...
but what makes me really PO is the 100% he’s guilty lets hang him right here and now and so many freepers are okay with the lynch mob...

when your opinions line up with antifa and BLM and all the leftist rats in Minneapolis and around the country, you have to stop and reflect about this...because they are never right about anything....

throw in the constant anti trump DBM liars and agitators and no, I am not going to be on their side no matter what.....

My opinions “line up” with the Founding Fathers. They started a revolution over government tyranny like that displayed by the dirty cop who assaulted a handcuffed and unconscious prisoner.

If 4 cops did that to a Trumper at a rally nobody here would be deflecting responsibility with “due process” claims for the dirty cop with horrific video evidence available.

Some folks just can’t let go of the racial element to this crime, obviously.

what does his history have to do with the events that transpired at that moment? so his punishment for those past acts should’ve been laying on the ground with a knee to his neck? instead of, ya know, due process and a trial?

I watched the man slowly die in a tortured ~9 minute video while in custody of and pinned down by three LEO. The man's repeated pleas that he could not breathe, his stomach hurt, and "don't kill me" were ignored. When the man was no longer moving, the LEO did not discontinue forceful restraint. When the man stopped breathing, the LEO did not provide basic medical assistance."

All this for $20??! And, yet in CA, you can steal up to $900 with NO repercussions. Unbelievable!!!

The defense is allowed an alternate theory, Here’s an alternate theory: suspect resisted arrest, viz., being placed into the police cruiser, because he was facing three times and you’re out because of illegal drugs in his system, whether or not he passed counterfeit money. (This assumes two prior felony convictions.) Plus his judgement was impaired by the drugs in his system. The fentanyl made him think he was invincible and the methamphetamine gave him energy. In such a circumstance, it is difficult to subdue a suspect resisting arrest. Suspect had difficulty breathing because of the heart attack. Suspect died of a heart attack and not because of the foot to the neck.

As for the counterfeit money, if the counterfeit money thing is true, we may be talking of a pretty well-organized crime organization. This wouldn’t be some small time operator selling loosies to underage kids (like Eric Garner of Staten Island, a few years ago). But, the community needs to blame somebody for the tragic waste of so many lives, and they can’t blame the welfare system.

Once you are handcuffed and on your chest on the ground, what more force is needed for the next ten minutes to keep someone under control?

Eff the cop.

Floyd was cuffed from first contact, the very moment he was pulled from the car.

And my videos are not the ones being slung by the msn. All mine are raw videos from cell phones, street cams, ect.

Video 1, behind the car Floyd it in. The cops pull him from the car and handcuff him.

Video 2, street cam video. Floyd is sitting on the sidewalk and an officer is getting info ect. Floyd is then helped up and walked across the street. All very cordial.

Video 3. Video of the scuffle in the car. A video of a video probably done with cell phone. Due to person zooming in and out, it is difficult to see far side of car, but street side is clear. This raw video obviously has video before and after what we are allowed to see.

Video 4, the infamous video of agents of the state committing homicide, in front of American citizens, while cameras roll.

I just did a little research about Georgy Porgy and was astonished to learn that he committed an armed robbery in 2007 in Houston and was sentenced to 5 years in prison in 2009!

So he was an ex-con and drug abuser who was passing counterfeit bills. Funny that nobody ever mentions that!<\i>

What does any of that have to do with the actions of the police on scene? Are you suggesting because he was a drug user he should have died at the hands, or knees, of the police? Maybe Floyd was a low-down thief and addict. It does not hold these were capital crimes deserving of him losing his life.
