I will be delivering brief remarks from the Rose Garden at 6:30 P.M. Eastern to update on the Federal Response.
There was lots of live fottage of the protesters in Lafayette Park.
I'm sure you can find it if you care.
They were peaceful.
Nice thanks!
It isn't conservative to let the federal government override our rights out of fear.
If the park is closed, they have to leave. Period. And at some point this evening, the park closed. Move on. Protest somewhere else. Is that all that difficult to understand?
That’s an awesome picture. And it’s a scene that everyone should be able to enjoy in any major city on any day at any time. Walking in peace.
Haven’t seen that in most cities lately - and if you own a business, it will be destroyed, ransacked, and looted because the left wishes it so.
If you want to take concrete action, but youre not sure how, weve created a site to connect you with useful resources and organizations whove been fighting the good fight at the local and national levels for years. https://t.co/2KcB4T3b0I— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) June 1, 2020
Hope AG Barr checks out all of these shady 'resources and organizations' he linked.
Whatever you say Mr. Government. Please let me know if my protests are bothering you.
You are welcome!
Agree.
Like it’s saying....We’ve got your back.
It’s my feel good pic, before turning in, on this historic night. :-)
I don’t give a damn about the rights of looters and thugs. After they set the church on fire last night the park should have been closed to ‘protesters’... criminals... human filth ... whatever you want to call them.
It’s important for the country to know they’re terrorists.
But it wasn't, and be careful what you're willing to accept from your federal officials.
Trump's definition of human filth is probably different than Biden's (or AOC's).
Just not being liked by the people currently in power shouldn't lose you your rights.
You’ve had it explained to you several times.
There is a curfew in DC. No one on the street after 7 PM.
Trump’s speech concluded almost at 7 PM. The protesters were still there.
Be careful, if you wish to stay on this forum. I think Mr. Robinson has had it with the closet anti-Trumpers.
In my (somewhat limited) experience, even in a non-contentious situation, if one is in a park that has personnel come around to shoo people out for closing, said personnel do not wait until closing time to start asking people to leave. In this case I believe the 7 pm curfew set the closing: If a large crowd was present, given the prior nights’ trouble, the security people even less a POTUS stroll through would start asking people to leave at, what, 6:30 pm at the latest?
My question here is, did the protesters balk at leaving?
Ah, you answered my question!
They were arsonists attempting to burn down a historic church and a city.
Tell me who likes arsonists? Really. Tell me what ‘rights’ arsonists have? NONE. If that isn’t human filth what is? German thugs burned books, our thugs tried to burn a down a Church and a city.
Even the old ACLU wouldn’t defend that...
See if you can find someone - anyone - who defends arson - someone willing to go on the record so to spake. A quote from a public figure will do... NOT some psychopath in solitary confinement like a mass murderer... Burning down someone else’s property is NOT a form of free speech. It’s NOT a from of protest.
Semijo must be smoking just too much crack this evening. That has to one of the most ludicrous posts that I have seen in quite some time .
Slow Joe...is that you? Jeb? Pierre Dilecto ? San Fran Nan? Hello??????
