Shocking new surveillance video appears to show George Floyd in a violent struggle with Minneapolis police before his death.

Floyd can't be seen in the footage, but one cop can be seen leaning through the back door and visibly struggling with him.

The clip was posted by activist Shaun King, who wrote: 'BREAKING: Just got this new video. It’s all coming together. Police were in the car beating the sh** out of George Floyd. One stands watch, while the others attacked him.'

Later, white officer Derek Chauvin was captured on video by a bystander kneeling on Floyd's neck as he begged for air.

Floyd, 46, fell unconscious and died, and Chauvin, 44, has since been charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, which are filed in cases of unintentional death.

Chauvin also was accused of ignoring another officer who expressed concerns about Floyd, a black man, as he lay handcuffed on the ground.

"Can't transport a suspect unsecured."

Six Baltimore cops found that out with Freddie Gray.

A very large guy who is possibly high on drugs can be very powerful.

I've never been in cuffs or in the back of a patrol car. If he is inside the car, in cuffs, why not just close the door and drive away? What point in taking him out? What can he do back there besides hurt himself?

How do you know he is still out of control, unless you test him?
You let up the pressure, and if he is really in distress, he won’t have
the energy to fight back.
And if he fights back, then reapply pressure.

I’m curious as to why the other 2 ppl GF was with (when he tried to pass fake bills) weren’t also arrested? They were being detained at one point but were they released at the scene or actually taken into custody? No one seems to know or care why they’re still walking the earth and GF isn’t.

“”””””””They may already know Floyd’s blood test results, but aren’t releasing it for obvious reasons...because it doesn’t fit the scenari””””””””””””””

If he was clean of drugs the report would have been released immediately.

If he was on drugs the report will take 2-3 years.

Just a guess on my part.

"Looks like they pulled him out to teach him a lesson."

You know that for a fact?

Right. In the article the trainer of the method does indicate when or if the method should be used.

I am not an expert on it just sharing the info and that it is an approved method in MN.

“The short fat cop would serve no purpose getting involved “

He has a very valuable Body Cam. He is the most important person it is on.

It actually depends on how much weight is being applied. That is the key point, and I'm unsure if a video can determine that.

I've studied martial arts for over 40 years. We learn many techniques that have a goal of "compliance". When we hit that point, we can then back off ever so slightly but maintain the hold so that if the training partner tries to escape, we can immediately apply just a little pressure and they instantly become very "compliant" again. We can hold them that way for hours if needed, safely under our control.

I have no idea what this cop did or what his intentions were, but you'll never know by watching a video.

I hate bad cops as much as anyone, but right now this guy is an unknown based on my personal MA training.

Maybe the medical examiner can determine if loss of blood flow to the brain was the cause of death. I'll wait for the results before judging.

However, folks only want to see one side of the entire incident.

Yes they do.

These are police officers with legal responsibilities. After Floydd passed out, the police have legal responsiblities to make sure he safe and not in need of medical care. They waited nearly three minutes while keeping pressure on his neck before checking for a pulse and finding none. No police department would want to justify to a DA or civil suit.

"I really don’t care and I never did , you commit a crime and it’s your own doing"

Actions have consequences. The sad thing is that most criminals are never held responsible for the consequences of their behavior.

He has to be properly restrained before they can go anywhere. They can’t have him thrashing around trying to kick out the windows.

Have you ever watched COPS?

Good point. And I don’t know. But that certainly is used often to neutralize
suspects to get them in vehicles.

Well first of all what can they do? A man just fought them inside their car and tried getting out, so you gonna believe the “I can’t breath” stuff once he’s on the ground?
Probably not. Anyway a medic was called.
In the end they can’t let a man up who is fighting them or they could be killed.
LOSE LOSE for the cops. Get off of a man fighting you because you think he really can’t breath and risk, well, anything happening.
Or keep him restraint and take a chance he is hurt. idk

I guess criminals need to be taught to stop resisting and putting on a show for their homies who are gathered around the cops like in this case.

That sign is humorous. But it is almost certainly a fake. There are many sites on the Internet where you can generate such fake signs. Here’s a link to one such site.
