The presidential campaign of former Vice President Joe Biden has canceled a fundraiser with Andrew Weissmann, a former top prosecutor with Robert Muellers special counsel team that investigated Russia's interference in the 2016 election, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The fireside chat with Weissmann was scheduled for June 2 and was slated to be moderated by Anne Milgram, the former New Jersey attorney general.
The announcement of the event led some Republicans to say it was evidence of Weissmanns political bias during the Russia investigation.
"As if we didnt already know, Andrew Weissmanns politics are officially unmasked," former Trump White House press secretary Sean Spicer tweeted when the fundraiser was announced.
Tim Murtaugh, the communication director for Trumps reelection campaign, told Fox News: Its no surprise that a guy who tried to take down the president through the sham impeachment would also help Joe Bidens campaign. It doesnt get any swampier than this: trying to stage a partisan coup against the president and then raising money for his political opponent.
The Biden campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Weissmann, a longtime federal prosecutor, has also signed a deal with Random House to write a book.

Hard to hide
I’m surprised they bothered to cancel it. Sometimes, it’s almost like they think they have to maintain some kind of pretext. For whom? Are there still people out there who are in the middle and don’t know?
Biden needs to be connected to the fraud/corruption...and it should be advertised daily.
Even though Biden cant even remember to put on his underwear each morning.
Brazen?
Picked a good night to announce it though.
Friday night document dump + race riots in deep blue cities.
Maybe Biden can get Rosenstein or Mueller as a replacement for Weissmann.
Wary inkterestink
If you were in Alaska in 2007 and 2008 you had a ringside seat to see the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice fabricate a criminal case against US Senator Ted Stevens.
The head of the FBI at the time was Robert Mueller.
It was during this period of time under Muellers leadership at the FBI that Mueller first partnered with DOJs Andrew Weissman. Weissman had promulgated the practice of intimidating witnesses and soliciting false testimony, hiding evidence and procuring high-profile convictions, which were later overturned on appeal, but not before lives were ruined and in some cases lost.

Just before my suspension from Twitter, I wrote that Weissmann should swing from a lamp post. I’ll not delete the post nor apologize.
This guy lives the high life at taxpayer expense while he destroys the judicial system and tried to take out the President.
Lot of people need to answer for their behavior
