The store clerk who called 911 on George Floyd complained to an operator about an 'awfully drunk' man who was 'not in control of himself'.
A call transcript released by the Minnesota Police Department on Thursday reveals that the caller reported a customer for using a counterfeit bill to buy cigarettes.
The caller said staff only realized the money could be fake once he left the Cup Foods store in Minneapolis. Someone followed him out and demanded he turn in his phone and the cigarettes before he was allowed to leave, however he refused.
'Someone comes our store and give us fake bills and we realize it before he left the store, and we ran back outside, they was sitting on their car,' the caller explained to the operator on Monday around 8.30pm.
Floyd was accompanied by two people at the scene however their identities are unknown.
'We tell them to give us their phone, put their (inaudible) thing back and everything and he was also drunk and everything and return to give us our cigarettes back and so he can, so he can go home but he doesn't want to do that,' the clerk continued.
'And he's sitting on his car cause he is awfully drunk and he's not in control of himself.'

If it was clear cut they would have arrested the officer by now. Interesting he was taken down next to the police car......could be he was resisting getting into the vehicle.

I’ve barely paid attention to this incident as I’ve come to learn that you need to wait a few days as more facts trickle out. The image in this thread is the first picture I saw.
On the surface it sounds like a dirtbag cop, but at this point in the narrative, so does every other incident.
I lived in Detroit when two good cops were jailed for a racially charged murder that turned out to be a crackhead whose heart exploded while trying to take a cops gun.
I also lived in Baltimore during the Freddie Gray deal where an overzealous racist prosecutor tried to take down the pigs, as if she was longing to relive the hippie days

well if he was resisting getting into the vehicle (handcuffed) and we’ve seen that before, I doubt the officer decided then it was time to kill him.

so if someone says to you ‘I can’t breathe’, based on something you are doing to that person, you feel it is up to him to prove to you that he can’t breathe...?

Why wasn’t he just put in a squad car and taken to jail?

Did he swallow a bunch of drugs when the cops got there?

Of course some will just go with what the DNCmedia tells them to believe and that’s that.

I have to go to east St Paul today but I will take 494 and go around the city instead of straight through on 94 so I can avoid all the thugs who think it is ok to burn down a city before all the facts are in.
FR has typically taken a hands-off approach to personal attacks launched by one user against another.
FRiend, alcohol makes it even more horrible as Floyd was passive. This isn’t white guilt, it is pursuing truth and justice. Freep isn’t a white conservatives only board, and blacks are always wrong. Many blacks were founding fathers and blacks should be more thankful they are in this country, enjoying what their ancestors endured.

Drunk and disorderly, plus committing theft with counterfeit money. The more interactions you have with the police, the higher chance an incident like this can happen. Death penalty? Nah, not in the modern world although theft did carry immediate hanging not that long ago.
The police involved should face justice for what they did. Maybe certain people should learn to quit committing crimes as a livelihood as well? I don’t commit crime for a living, thus my run-ins with the police are minimal, therefore my chance of being killed by them is far less than a George Floyd.
The media needs to be held to task for highlighting who the dealers and suppliers are.
The media, especially Hollywood which glorifies illicit drug use to sell movies, needs to be held to task for their contribution to his death and how illicit drugs negatively impact communities.
Sports figures and celebrities who glorify illicit drug use also need to be held to task for their contributions to deaths such as these.
The videos of him being pulled from a vehicle are readily available. The man could walk and was utterly non combative. I’ve had teeth pulled and been less stable.

I remember a news report showing Floyd falling down just before being placed in the police car. I think he tripped, was tripped, or intentionally fell. If it was intentional, he wanted to be thrown in the police car like Hillary was thrown into the Scooby Doo.

Whatever. I think that Ive seen all of the footage (cctv and mobil) and never seen him do anything to provoke use of force from the police.
The man was flat murdered. Brutally and senselessly by a sadistic cop and his sadistic butt buddies.
No white-guilt here. I’m sure we will get more insights on how it all started, autopsy report etc. Good. The jury will certainly need to see all the evidence before sending this scumbag cop to prison. My guess is some prisoner will knee this cop to death in the yard.
