Based upon the names of the four officers, it appears two were white/Caucasians and two were Asians.
So, this was a multi-racial incident and not a white/black incident.
The video does imply a lack of common sense and empathy on the part of the white officer who pinned Floyd with a knee to his neck.
You know grey just lost his dinner! maybe someone should post a video of that woman in the hat and
glasses screaming after trump was elected?.
“OK, I told you so yesterday. Yes, remember when several commenters were calling me and others “racist” for warning everybody to not jump to conclusions? That the AUTOPSY had not been released? That the CAUSE OF DEATH was unknown? That we are still missing video from the middle, i.e., what happened between the initial arrest and the officers having Floyd on the ground. I nearly fell out of my chair when I heard the DA from Hennepin County state that there is “other evidence that does not support a criminal charge.” OMG. This is exactly why you don’t go out screaming MURDER. And exactly why you always wait in cases, especially any case tied to Benjamin Crump.”
Thank you. There are some on FR that jump to conclusions, respond emotionally and jump the gun. You can beat your chest and condemn all police officers from a partial video. Sometimes appearances are misleading, sometimes not, but it is wise to wait until all facts are known.
I’m waiting for the autopsy, and other evidence to come out. However, the question I have, having worked in uniform in New York State Corrections, and having had 25 years worth of training (once each year) in restraint, and unarmed defensive tactics, was that type of restraint (putting your knee on a person’s neck to restrain them) part of the required training the police department regularly gives its uniformed employees? I have to say it was never taught to us in all the years I was an Officer/Sergeant.
Really? You think that “evidence” is going to make a difference?
I watched him say it on TV. He said that in response to a reporter pressuring on why there have not yet been any charges, and he responded with saying “there is other evidence that does not support a criminal charge” in the tone that he will charge in due time, but does not want to be rushed to be sloppy. He did not come across as he was unlikely to charge the officers as you have interpreted it. You can watch a clip of him saying it here:

But he added there was ‘other evidence that does not support a criminal charge’
Prosecutors must decide if the cop used force deemed ‘excessive’ when he knelt on George Floyd's neck for eight minutes until he passed out and later died
Somebody needs to be investigating the county attorney.

According to local papers the prosecutor said they will have to see if there is other evidence that does not support criminal charges.
Everything that happened after George Floyd was handcuffed —and clearly not resisting—was excessive force.
Cop should have placed the handcuffed man in the cruiser & taken him to lockup. Period.
Instead, the cop led the compliant man to the wall, made him sit down next to the wall, then made him stand up next to the wall, then inexplicably made him lie facedown on the street with his head & shoulders unnaturally twisted aside & torso pressed against the car’s wheel, and then placed his knee on the man’s neck and pressed — all while he was handcuffed.
The cop alternately pressed & released Floyd’s neck— allowing him to holler for a bit— and gradually increased pressure until he was unable to holler.
You can tell when he died because his bladder relaxed & he peed. The urine stream is clearly visible as the life light fades from his eyes.
“killing”? Seems to make a conclusion.
“Prosecutors warn there is evidence that does not support criminal charge in George Floyd killing”
that’s really not a problem because they can always just railroad these guys if necessary like they did the cops in Baltimore ...
AG says statement was misinterpreted.
Please consider that in Progressive Ghettos that Police Chiefs are appointed political sock puppets and not really professionals. Additionally, a large percentage of the force are “diversity” hires, others who could not get hired elsewhere and others who were not tolerated elsewhere.
Sorry. Ive seen the video many times.
Please tell us about this evidence.
Because prosecutors never inflate the value or relevance of evidence. Might want to ask General Flynn about that.
Amen, but the damage is done and EVERYBODY seemed to jump on it for emotion, agenda, opportunity and bias as a city burns compounding a devastating societal event. The media and politicians are pure vile and disgusting. I had a wait and see approach and that is considered "protecting police","racist" and "how can I not see the obvious". People see what they want to see especially in the video cesspool society. The new hip term is "digital lynch mob".I find that so ironic. Bottom line is that these 4 men are in serious trouble and contributed to a suspects death. Something restricted his breathing. There may be quite a difference if the knee on neck and or position contributed to this or some other toxic event in his body. I have a hard time watching the video.
The fact he says a criminal rather than a homicide charge is startling. Thats big because I figured the prosecutor could get around any autopsy evidence by charging the cop with felony battery as a predicate for a felony murder charge at the least. But he is saying any criminal charge. Im wondering if there was a weapon - but wouldnt they fall over themselves announcing that? What evidence could possibly excuse or rebut a felony murder charge based on what we saw? Given the political climate there you know the DA will file if theyve got the slightest thing to hang their hat on - and that video is powerful. Not arguing with you, just thinking out loud.
You’re not racist. You just play one in the Internet. :)
