I watched some live streams of the rioting last night and saw just as many if not more white people involved. Idiots are going to idiot, no matter what their race.

I’m absolutely not sticking up for any of them - but doesn’t this procedure seem a bit ass-backwards to anyone else?

It is obvious from the interchange between the police and the bystanders, that George Loyd had violently fought with the officers, resisting being put in the police car, for several minutes before the video starts.
When you watch the video, for the first about 4 minutes, George Loyd is still vigorously attempting to get out from under the control of the officer who has his knee on the back of George Loyd's neck. The officer is *not* obstructing the airway, as George Loyd repeatedly talks to the officer complaining that he cannot breathe.
But he obviously could breathe, because he was talking for four minutes! You cannot talk unless you can breathe.
The officers repeatedly make comments about how he should not do drugs. This is probably in response the severe resistance they encountered in attempting to get him into the car.
Let us see the medical report.
In the position the officer's knee was, it does not obstruct the airway.
Try it yourself. Put yourself on the floor. Have someone put their knee on the back of your neck in the same position. See if it stops your breathing.
Really? Bystanders were supposed to rush 4 armed cops during an arrest?

Which is bullshit because they will do the same to a white person and in fact something much like this happened in Dallas about a year ago to a white guy.
I think too many on the right think the police are their allies, but they are not. We’ve seen in this recent Corona virus crap them enforcing illegal orders. We saw them stand idly by as Trump supporters were chased and beaten back during the campaign.
Smaller community officers might be better, but these larger city departments are there to protect the ruling class. They will obey their masters and we are not their masters.
These kinds of things originate in HR.
As ‘experts’ people in HR lord their authority over everyone and get to play God with peoples’ lives.
But they routinely get it wrong... as we are finding that most ‘experts’ do. It’s become a sick culture when people in HR (THEMSELVES trained and hired to screen these people) can’t ID problems so basic.
Personnel ‘experts’ have ONE JOB and if that guy was unstable or worse, he should NEVER have got that job. It sounds like HR knew and he still was hired. How does that happen?

Isn’t that the same police force who put the Somali guy on the payroll and then he shot a woman from his car? Sounds like Minneapolis is out of control. At least their hiring practices.

I don’t think he was choked to death at this point, but a large man laying on his chest on concrete with the weight of another man on his back can result in positional asphyxia. In this scenario, the officer is still responsible for his death.
The man was helpless and in the officer’s custody, but the officer failed to ensure his well being.
Anyway, this is just a theory, and I also think that the toxicology results are relevant.
