The White House plans to cancel visas for thousands of Chinese graduate students and researchers affiliated with Chinese universities tied to the People’s Liberation Army, according to a report.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo discussed the plan with President Trump during a meeting Tuesday, The New York Times reported, citing officials with knowledge of the discussions.

The plan to cancel visas comes as the Trump administration is seeking to punish China after Beijing moved to impose new national security legislation on Hong Kong, which was condemned by Pompeo this week. Canceling visas were already being discussed by the administration before Beijing's move in the territory.

That’s a good move.

How about termination of “Most Favored Nation” trade status?

I’m wondering if this is just an opportune time to do this sort of thing just because any opposition is likely to be muted now. College administrators who routinely complain that they need the money these foreign students bring aren’t going to have much to say if they can’t even be sure when they’re going to have classes again.

Well, according to the article, that takes care of 3,000 students. What about the OTHER 357,000 CHINESE STUDENTS?

I never understood and still don’t understand why we educate students from a flipping communist nation. It is weak and pathetic.

It is about damn time and the government leaders must have their heads three feet up their asses to have allowed it anyway. Just what did they think the CCP thugs would do — study on new ways to keep the Ten Commandments?

Why are they here? No, seriously, why? Can we take our own side, just once? The American people don’t want this. Why, once again, is it that the wishes of the American people have ZERO representation in the political process?

NOTE Lobbying a president at a WH gala was unheard of till the greedy Me-First Clintons came to town....

Pres Clinton was lobbied at a WH gala by big buck donor Bernard L. Schwartz, CEO of Loral Space & Communications Ltd......

First Clinton made sure to collect donations ........then he shipped Loral's US missile tech to China.

The monumental disaster of the US-China Relations Act is becoming clearer. It was Bill Clinton’s last (cough)
"presidential accomplishment," the historic moment when a Democrat president of the greatest superpower of all time,
sap-happily handed its demise to a backward country, poised to strip America of its intellectual and
technological superiority.

These students pay the “sticker price” of their education. I’ll bet most American colleges would be out of business without them.

That “favored nation” status you expressed is being looked at with China’s moves to take over Hong Kong because Hong Kong has that status.

Let there be no doubt that what we’re dealing with is the results of what was set up by the Clinton’s backed by the “Swampers” who made millions off of the deal that was set up.
