Sessions was a cowardly leader of the Department of Justice. He permitted Deep State operatives to remain in key positions...

Sessions failed President Trump, the Nation and us... He should have assisted with draining the swamp and rooting out traitor.

Admittedly I know nothing about Tuberville, but if Alabama sends Sessions back to Congress I think I’ll throw up.

Thank you for this. Too many Republicans still support this Judas weasel.

Glass is half full: he like a lot of Republican politicians try to play fair and be civil. Unfortunately, Democrats play dirty.

Romney was the Democrats chump... and continues to be a chump.

This is why we conservatives do not like Sessions and Romney.

With all his time in the Swamp he surely knew what was going to happen.

Not an Alabaman so no real dog in this fight, but I do know that we need that seat back. Are we confident that Tuberville can win in November? If so, great. But if not, then I’d rather see Sessions as the candidate. At this point, I think most of us are long past the idea that we need to like or respect the candidate. I can hate Sessions and support him if it means getting the seat back.

Trump won because his base was tired of wimps who would not fight the left. Sessions is losing because he too wimped out. Sad.

I agree with about 90% of this article except for the part where sessions was bullied into recusal. He was happy to recuse himself. He seemed to jump at the chance.

He didn’t want anything to do with investigating his fellow statists. Just wanted to go after pot shops and illegals.

He’ll be another John McCain and at the right moment just selling the Republican party and stabbed Trump in the back again

No one knows the full inside information of what has happened (and continues to happen) between Trump and Sessions. Therefore, I can’t completely disallow the possibility of there being being some sort of game theory at play between them vs. the deep state. Trump is good at strategic gaming as well as keeping his cards close to his vest. In the meantime, I’m keeping an open mind by not requiring everything work out on my terms and timetable.

Yup, and Coach Tubbs is going to kick his @$$ in the senate run-off election real soon. Tubbs will then kick the socialist Jones @$$ right out of the senate and Alabama will be back to both Senators being from the republican side of the aisle.

It all felt orchestrated to me, the Dems’ hard lean on Sessions, his quick recusal without notifying the President, the quick appointments of Rosenstein and then Mueller as Chief Inquisitor. I don’t think Sessions folded, he was in on the heist. He was the Inside Man.

We may never know what they had that obliged him to stand down. Something, though.

Because if he originally made the decision in good faith, once he knew they were playing dirty he could have rescinded it, and resumed control. But he didn’t. We have to assume its because he couldn’t, which means there is something they have that tied his hands, that he didn’t want his grandkids to know, that he didn’t want as part of his epitaph.

That’s whats so remarkable about Trump. No matter what they dig up about him, no matter what they throw at him, he just shakes it off. Other Repubs, like Sessions, would be in a fetal position sucking their thumbs. Trump just keeps fighting.

Does Alabama have open primary voting?
If so, then there will be a big push by Democrats to vote for Sessions (just like we saw in Missouri with Akin).

I read more than a few times by Freepers that Tubbs is a pro amnesty, China labor express statist including quotes. He’s like a white JOnes but just has an R on the chest.
